Miz is more of a pitcher tonight, working the batters and trying to hit his spots. He's not trying to blow the 102 past anyone.

Edit: Until that final 101 heater down the middle.

Man, I love Collins, but how are you staring at a pitch literally down the middle with a man on 3rd and 2 out?

When you misidentify a sinker that has 18 inches of arm side movement for a FB that has 6 inches of arm side movement you might take a pitch that you thought was going to be inside but ended up well over the plate.

As he blows 101 past Moreno, lol. But I agree, he's looking a lot better today.

Where are all the people who said he should be sent to AAA or moved to the bp?

Trash talk after two innings?

He’s struggled terribly on the road this year

Here’s hoping tonight is his night, but it’s been awhile

He’s had what like 9 starts this year?

Is Pfaadt hiding the ball or something? Some of these pitches look like meatballs and they're not swinging.

His sinker and lively 4 seamer look exactly the same coming out of his hand. They're having a tough time picking it up right now.

Seigler has had some bad luck, but that AB from him did his manager no favors. Took 3 pitches in the zone, including strike 3.

Right here. He's surpassed his yearly innings pitched by a good amount and should have his pitches limited. Miz was lights out his first two innings the last time he pitched too. You don't think it's possible he has a blow up inning again?

I’m not one who suggested he should return to the minors

I’m also not ready to compare him to Paul Skenes as many did early one because he had a few good starts

He throws far too many pitches

I hope we get five clean innings tonight before he tops 90 pitches

Let’s be fair with the context here. For a lot of people, that’s been more about limiting his innings and preserving his bullets for late in the season, not about saying he sucks.

Or John Maynard Keynes, for that matter.
