Raising one is always bad ass but usually leads to another 10,000 casts before catching one

Well, at least we won't have the worry about it.

And the Flubs will lose to SF tonight, so it's NOT that big of a deal losing tonight.

If Chourio isn’t comfortable running at full speed he isn’t going to help the team and might end up popping the muscle and being done for the season.

Frelick and Collins for Lockridge and Bauers would be a step up.

True. Manager has to write them in. Certainly can't have them out at the same time.

I’m down with the scoreboard watching at this point of the season. We know that no one besides the Cubs is going to catch us, so every Cub loss is almost as important as a Brewer win.

Honestly, this felt like the game we were going to have the toughest time winning, even with Priester starting.

We threw a guy in from off the couch and just didn't get the big hit. A split would be a disappointing outcome, but we're not there yet. Take 3 of 4, and that's a winning home stand.

Yeah and my guess is Murph won’t be all that upset with the decision……but I could be wrong.

Thats how the brewers play and sometimes they are going to get thrown out by a perfect throw.

I’m 100% ok with saying Bauers should be DFAed. It’s been a 2 year long experiment. There isn’t any upside there. I just don’t even want to see him be an option.

I’d even prefer Seigler getting his spare ABs.

I feel like this team hasn't won a "winable" game in forever. Everything is a major grind. Everything is going against them. Im hoping after this brutal stretch with no off day things swung back the other way. Its been so frustrating lately.

Game 1 against the Cubs in the 5 game series was the last “this came easy” one.

But yeah, it’s been a grind since then, win or lose.

Huh?

we’ve won a lot of winnable games…..last game vs the Cubs……first game the Giants………walk, off last night……

I mean there is no script……this was a tough one……so was the last one vs Giants…..but let’s not overreact.

I’m watching the Phillies, Dodgers, and Padres too because they are the competitors for the byes.

.The beauty of modern entertainment options is that you can actually watch these games and not just watch a scoreboard.

The Mets sweep of the Phillies puts them in the hunt for the east crown and also allowed the Brewers to pick up 2 games on the Phils

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Yep.   I don’t care about the division if we don’t get the bye.    I really don’t

I’ve been thinking of the past two weeks like when a golfer says “the way I hit the ball, I shot the highest score I could shoot”.    The way these games have played out the past couple of weeks it just feels like we had the worst possible record we could have had

maybe they will steal a couple against Toronto and Philly.

I can understand where he's been hit hard & let go by ATL, but Fedde wasn't all that bad. 2nd time through was a bit more of a problem. I was wondering if it'd be a one-and-done appearance for him once the rosters get expanded, but after watching him work he wouldn't be bad in a McGee-type long man-mop-up role.

They picked their spots pretty well for Jansen. Just didn't get it done. Chasing once & looking bad on a high changeup once. And both times vs a LHP.

Felt bad for Vaughn. Nice approach after the Yelich double, but got under a pitch that could've been driven to the right side.

Whisenhunt freaking blows. Another 4 inning gem from him.

Edit: well Nevermind, he stayed in to finish the 5th and the Giants made a crazy defensive play to get the double play with the bases loaded.

That wasn't Mysterio's finest hour, but if that throw is off line at all he's safe. It also actually looked like a good slide would have made it, he had a chance to get under that tag and just didn't come in smoothly at all.

I am not sure 2nd was that much better than 1st at that point with Turang coming up.

There has NEVER been a golfer that would say, has said that.

I know that making stuff up on the internet is fun, but C'mon Man !!

I’ve seen pro golfers say something similar

“ I hit the ball great……that’s probably the highest score I could shoot hitting it that good”

I can’t believe you’ve never heard something like that……hell I haven’t said it but I’ve thought it…..it’s when you putt bad…..like real bad.

Danny Jansen. Not good.

Must be tough getting such little use, and it's hard to complain about a backup catcher. But that was a guy acquired to be a right bench bat, and it hasn't really paid off.

At least so far, for sure it hasn't. Two bad ABs tonite. But this was discussed the other day--I think you'd be hard pressed to find one GM that would rather have Eric Haase than Jansen. So I just hope the criticism falls on Jansen & not Matt Arnold.

I'd rather have not given up Arienamo for him, but I think that was a byproduct of the quality/depth of the other MINF in the system.

They might have to be getting to the point though where you just ask, “why not Quero?”
