So he doesn't care about winning then.

When he signed, they had Ohtani … they were spending $ left & right on big name free agents too … oddly enough, they can’t win so  he’s stuck

I doubt that is the case

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

completely correct.  In 2019 I think a lot of people thought they'd start winning for a while.  Not just Trout.

Including Anthony Rendon.

Interesting that Cubs went all out with celebrating today. Brewers seemed more muted when they clinched. Tells you that Cubs don't think there is a division to celebrate.

?? I seriously doubt that’s the case.

How I envision Murph welcoming Nick Mears back to the clubhouse after his injury:

- How you feeling, Rick?

- Pretty good, coach. Still a little sore but ready to contrib...

- ...Great to hear, you're my first man out of the bullpen every day this week. Go get 'em, tiger.

Why would they go all out splashing champagne? Do you think they win division and then do it again? Doesn't make sense.  Brewers are waiting for Division clinch. Cubs feel like this is it till the playoffs.
