Now that we are looking ahead to the playoffs I just can’t believe we are going to roll into the playoffs with Joey Ortiz hitting in a huge spot. On one hand Murphy seems old school and you gotta produce type guy but with Ortiz he's putting the weight of the entire team chances on him. It's borderline criminal.

Who else do we put in there? Mona hits better but Joey O saves runs at the 6.

Ortiz’s defense somewhat covers his poor offensive performance.

I’m far more concerned with our pitching - both starters & relievers - due to injuries.

I guess Ben Oglive had three homers a day after he got trashed the night before.  Members of the tam took him out to Cesar's because he was in a slump.

I wonder how many Brewers have a hangover...

Start Mono give him 3 ab grab a lead and put Joey in for D.

unpopular opinion … getting drunk, hammered, trashed is childish, immature, teenage behavior. Responsible adult men shouldn’t waste their time on such childish behavior. There are other ways to celebrate & enjoy winning the division.

Ditto.  Ortiz's bat is a problem but honestly there's no sense worrying about it at this point.  It's been a problem all year and they're going to win 95+ games.  The pitching issues are new though.  Whether they'll turn a 95+ win team into an also ran in the playoffs remains to be seen, but the Brewres have less margin for error than any other team in the playoffs.  As always.

Not as unpopular as you think. You're living in the country with the highest percentage of teetotalers in its adult population, and it's growing among young people.

I see very little chance of Murphy being ok with Hoskins not making the roster.

Put him on the coaching staff …

He’s only had 7 at bats & 1 start since being added to the roster

it seems to be a wasted roster spot that could be given to a future Brewers player

I imagine Hoskins is miserable watching every day rather than playing

If Murph values Hoskins he should let him start … but I’m glad he’s not playing as both Vaughn & Bauers are better options (offensively & defensively)
