Game 12: Packers @ Lions - Thursday, Nov. 27th @ 12:00 PM - Happy Thanksgiving!

Defense just can't get off the field even when they get long situations, it's been a recurring theme all year. Like someone said above if pash rush doesn't get home we are screwed.

Losing Cooper would be really bad with Walker already out.

Yes, it would. At least he got up and came off the field without a limp.

Seemed like he just got caught in the ribs/shoulder?

Yup. And now you take away your two LBers who are sideline to sideline and it's no longer an elite front 7, it's just a front 4(though we have pretty good safeties).

Yeah, but he fumbled it backward.

And what is wrong with Cooper? He's one of the guys they just cannot afford to lose...

MAYBE it's just the wind knocked out of him? He's kinda gets a crack back by Tslaa. Doesn't LOOK like he a lower leg. Maybe Ribs?

He's become a top 2-3 player on this defense.

Should that matter? Once the first down is picked up, you should get a new set of downs.

Evan Williams in man on Jameson Williams...

Yeah, we need to upgrade the CB room. But at least we're making the Lions work for it.

I mean, we complain about long drives, but I'll take this drive over the 4 play drives.

Yeah, it's kinda like running backward after you get the 1st. The play wasn't dead and the ball ended up behind the line to gain.

It's effectively like a lateral. If Doubs had lateraled instead of fumbled and they ended up short, they wouldn't get it.

What a HUUUGE drop by Jameson!

Or a bad drop

Dagger time for the offense!

Basically is.

I want a coach to be aggressive and I missed the Detroit game last week where all the Lions fans were complaining about going for it on 4th down, but I'm starting to get it.

Every series is pretty much 4 down territory. 7 straight times it's failed and it could have a MASSIVE impact on their season.

Anyway, yes... they'll come out and run the ball, but, I wouldn't mind throwing it on 1st down. WAAAY too early to shut down and try and run the ball.
