According to Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon of The Athletic, the Brewers are open to trading some of their outfield depth. Isaac Collins and Blake Perkins are mentioned by name, with the expectation that Christian Yelich, Jackson Chourio, and Sal Frelick are not available.

Perkins, 29, is arbitration-eligible for 2026, his first year of arbitration. In 2025 for Milwaukee, he logged 171 plate appearances and hit .226/.298/.348 with three home runs. He posted a .287 wOBA and 83 wRC+, and finished at 0.4 fWAR overall. Perkins played 52 games in center field, with +1 Outs Above Average.

Collins, 28, lost his rookie eligibility in 2025 and won't qualify for arbitration until 2027. Collins tallied 441 plate appearances in 2025, batting .263/.368/.411 with nine home runs and 16 steals. He produced a .344 wOBA, 122 wRC+, and 2.6 fWAR, along with a 12.9% BB% and 21.1% K%. He finished the season with +4 Outs Above Average, a .319 xwOBA, and an 88.8 mph average exit velocity.

Signing Akil Baddoo then turning around and trading Isaac Collins would make me very sad

Here's a tissue...

Yeah, I don't get this, unless there is another outfielder coming our way in a different trade.

No way we are pinning our hopes to Baddoo, just no way.

A year ago most of you wouldn't have been able to pick Collins out of a lineup. Now he's indispensable despite being barely rosterable by the time the playoffs came along and Baddoo has no chance of being useful.

If our own fans can't recognize the red flags on players like Collins and Mears, and what this organization can unlock from a pitcher with the stuff of a Zerpa, then I guess it just solidifies my hope that the Brewers can continue to compete at the highest level despite having to operate on the fringes

Pretty sure almost every Brewers fan who frequents a site like this could have told you who Collins was a year ago. I mean he literally was on the 40-man and got some late season PA in 2024.

I’m hoping Duran straight up for Peralta

Duran has likely double the surplus trade-value of Freddy.

Wasn’t that true of the trade we just completed - except in reverse? At least in WAR …

Searching the boards at Baseball Trade Values looks like they had Zerpa (7.5) for Collins (6.2) and Mears (3.8) as a slight “win” for KCR, but differences that small are within the margin of error so essentially a wash.

Freddy (25.4) and Megill (9.6) combined still come in short of Duran (45.9) by their valuations.

Anyone have that website?

Don’t use that website.

Duran conservatively at 12 WAR the next 3 years. At $7M/WAR = $84M - $38M in arby = 46M in STV.

Peralta with 4.5 WAR. At $7M/WAR = $31.5M - $8M salary = 23.5M STV.
