That was a savvy veteran four pitch inning from Woodruff 💪🙌👏

Any chance Murph let’s him go back out for the sixth?

Looks like Woodruff was coming back out for the 6th.

These 92 mph fastball variants with a changeup aren't going to play.  I think I'd rather see Gasser, Crow, or Henderson.

Agreed. I love pitchers who succeed with the "all three fastballs" approach, but all those pitches have to be at least plus. Woody has an average 4 seam, average 2 seam, and decent cutter. His change is very good and his sweeper is solid (he needs to start using it more)

I tell ya, Murph never used to do this, but this stacking 3 lefties in a row, knowing you’re not going to pinch hit for them, is a terrible idea. Absurd.

I think instead of trotting Woody back out or trying to see if he can get Grant Andershot’s arm to fall off, Murph should just see if he can get a few innings out of Hall. Gotta see if he can ever be more than mop up duty.

I like this...hard lefty after softer righty. I'm sure there'll be some analytics thrown in there with the green monster and Boston hitting lefties blahblahblah

It has been a volatile futures market for Brandon Woodruff today. He seems perfectly capable of mixing speeds, hitting his locations and keeping hitters off balance enough to be effective. I predict Woodruff provides market value performance in 2026.

Does Murphy truly believe he can use Ashby EVERYDAY?

This narrative is pretty overblown, he hasn’t even pitched on back to back days yet this year…

Yes. Yes he does

Ask Koenig about Murphy bullpen management. It's going to catch up to you sometime.

Curt Hogg just called it "unserious" on bluesky...

According to Gemini AI … Bluesky has 40 million users while X has 588 million users … I prefer X

Woody sure ground it out on a night where he didn't have his best stuff. Seems like a solid veteran contribution.

It’s pretty amazing the Brewers have the record they do.  They have quite a few dudes that simply can’t hit.

Oh ok? He’s on pace for over 100 innings out of the bullpen this year. Before this game’s usage.

Maybe every day isn’t the right descriptor. But relieving every OTHER day and being a multi inning reliever is unheard of these days.
