  • Jett Williams will get it going. Missed time in Spring with injury. He's playing all over the diamond. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if he is up before the All-Star break even if the surface stats lack sparkle
  • Greg Jones is taking quite the beating
  • Nothing alarming in the Statcast data for Luke Adams besides the fact he still doesn't swing enough. When he swings, good things happen
  • Luis Lara is doing everything the Brewers value in the bedrock of a player

I assume that 50th EV is the median batted ball EV and not savant's EV50 which is the average of the top 50% batted balls?

The Gas Man is back in action for his first game since March 27 (5.2 IP, 0 R, 11 Ks), as AAA Nashville looks to tie up their series in Gwinnett. 2B Eddys Leonard had 2 jacks in yesterday’s win, which is unfortunately 2 more extra base hits than 3B Brock Wilken has delivered since his June 2025 injury (11-for-82 since his return).

Excited to see more Letson tonight. He's a guy that can really take off and breakout IMO. (I know some outlets have him ranked as a back end 100 guy) I see more potential than that!

19-year old LHP Enderson Mercado makes his first start of 2026 (second appearance), as Low-A Wilson seeks a win to avoid a 4th straight defeat at Salem. Juan Ortuno (5-for-16, 4 walks) gets his first start at shortstop of 2026, after 4 starts at second base.

Can 1B Blake Burke make it 7 homers in 7 games played? AA Biloxi can clinch a home series win over Pensacola with a victory tonight behind 21-year old RHP Bishop Letson, who’s making his second start of 2026.

Despite the lack of #s in his first handful of ABs, 7 walks drawn in 10 games fits the profile you come to expect from Williams. And Lara is right behind. They fit this organization well.

Watched Wilken last night. He's really stuck in a bad place re swing decisions, and made a terrible throw from third on a very routine play. This bad start is in his head, unfortunately.

Might be time for Jobu.

Oh no. Ibarguen started coming in on a ball that landed near the warning track. What should have been a sac fly turns into an RBI double. Salem's announcers are saying how unimpressed they have been with Wilson's defense this week especially compared to what level of A ball team Milwaukee typically puts out. It makes sense. This is a really young team that is also quite a bit thinner in terms of prospect quality compared to what we are used to seeing from our A ball team.

The Wilson Average Joes (errr Warbirds) offense loaded the bases on b2b2b walks. Then Pedro Ibarguen (127 wRC+ and .408 OBP in 45 games last season) ripped a pretty solid ground ball in the left-side hole. The third baseman made a nice play to start the double play. Inning over.

I have high hopes that everyone will look a little more comfortable when they get back home to Wilson.

There we go. Luis Lameda walked, stole second, and scored on Jose Anderson's crushed double. Anderson saved the run with a heady slide after a nice throw from LF. Clutch by Anderson. Ortuno had been rung up on a borderline pitch and Handelfry Encarnacion had a poor at bat which ended in two check swings at out of zone nonsense for a K.

Tough start to the year for Letson. Goes 1.1 IP in both starts. Seems to be really struggling to throw strikes.

Josiah Ragsdale took a walk against a sidearm lefty, stole second uncontested due to wild pitch, stole 3rd on a throw, and took home on a wild pitch. No hits yet this year but he already has 6 steals.

Lara's start has been really exciting. I think his floor is a Blake Perkins replacement... but his ceiling could REALLY round out the Brewers lineup... the OF. I think he'll end up being our starting CFer.

Feels like a pretty disappointing start to the season for this minor league system, but we're... not 10 games in yet.

Where are we expecting Williams to play if he's going to be up by the ASG? Utility? Move around between SS, 3B and CF? I don't even know if he's playing any 3B, but I'd like to see him there as an option.
