I don't think we gave up that much for him. I think his stuff was really good, but for some reason Wild Bill called for a fastball, and for some reason Senza left it in the middle of the plate.

Somehow Uribe got another day off in a game we won 5-4, so he should be fresh as can be. 

I would prefer both Anderson and Stallings over Sentazela, but I realize they’re not going to make a move on him yet. I wouldn’t trust him with anything more than garbage time right now, though. He’d be my odd man out when Jojo is up.

It actually worked out so much better that Senzatela blew it. They still win in the end but instead of Ashby, Uribe, Megill all being used only Megill was used.

Don’t think I’ve ever heard Murphy publicly critical of William’s pitch calling before and he said he wanted to see something softer in the dirt against Muncy on that 3-2 pitch.

I wonder what Senzatela was thinking? He's been in the NL West for ages and surely knows the scouting report on Muncy.

I really do kind of feel for him a bit. We trade for him then instantly start using him in a way he’s never been used in his career. He’s not a use him for an inning 3-4 days a week guy. He’s a multi-inning use him 2 days a week guy.

I was all set to say there was still more chasing than should be accepted, but the ABs overall were better; just not enough of them & not bunched. Enough good ones & bunching in the 9th, thank you very much.

It was nice to see them bail out the run prevention side of things for a change. Two things could've been killers: The Contreras drop on the throw home & Drohan walking back-to-back w/one out & no one on in the sixth. Probably getting gassed a little, but you can't lose Edman there & if you don't, I think he's a little more aggressive & has a good chance of getting Freeman.

I thought Senzatela looked terrific getting the K to start his outing. The Muncy AB, poor location but Muncy does that to soooo many people over the years. I think Senzatela is still going prove to be an asset.

Even though he wasn't a part of the rally, I'm hoping this lifts something off Contreras' shoulders & we see better play from him. Just another ugly day for him.

Hall, geez. If he can work from ahead in the count.............that's two nice appearances in a row.

I can now tell people that I saw a major league baseball game where a team put Gary Sanchez at 1B & Andrew Vaughn at 3B and won.

Caught that. Maybe he says nothing if he thought people in Wisconsin were still awake lol. Apparently he was convinced Muncy was swinging regardless of where the pitch was, and thinking through it he might be right.

I can excuse Contreras struggling with the bat, most of the team is doing the same. 

What I can’t excuse is coming into games unprepared and seemingly neglecting the scouting reports that his job requires. This was not a one time, isolated incident lately. For someone who, up until this season, had a very good reputation for handling a pitching staff. 

When your own manager and starting pitcher are throwing you under the bus, that’s a pretty good sign that the problem has spiraled. 

I would not be surprised if he starts losing a higher frequency of starts to Sanchez.
