Idk what to tell you, other than that there’s no chance whatsoever they decline the option. I’d bet my life on it. He’s a 3x all star, 2x silver slugger, 2x top 11 MVP and still hits above average for a catcher. Plays every day. His down year right now is worth more than $12m on the open market, by a decent amount. He’s only 28, and very likely to have several years of solid production left. You don’t weigh a few bad months over all of that.

Lack of power come playoffs will sink this team. That may take place before the playoffs start. Milwaukee is a good team (not great). We are too injured & lacking in power. Several key players are underperforming. I sense a significant fade as these last 40 games wind down … & I expect an early exit in the playoffs.
