If you click on subsequent dates in the linked scoreboard page, you'll see Gold plays again on Saturday, having then played all three teams in their four-team pod. It is suggested they win both today and tomorrow to have a chance to advance, not sure what the tiebreaker would be here:

As we provided in Monday night's Link Report:

"DSL Cup is a playoff format that will see 16 DSL clubs qualify for the two-stage DSL postseason. The eight DSL division winners (based on winning percentage) and the eight teams with the best winning percentage that did not win their division (Wild Card teams) will qualify for the postseason from the 51-team league (31.4% of the league's teams). In Pool Play, the sixteen teams will be divided into four pools of four teams each and will participate in a round-robin competition. The team with the best record in each pool will advance to the Championship Bracket, which will consist of two rounds (best-of-three Semifinal and Final Rounds)."

Thanks Mass.  I could have looked it up, but thanks for re-posting it. That makes sense.  I couldn't remember if a round robin, double eliminaiton etc.  The fact they called it game #2 is what threw me off, but game #2 of the pod I guess.

Said it yesterday too, but Josue Rodriguez closing the year on a tear.

Has three of his four total home runs in the last three games.

Has hit his second on the day.

Well over a 1.200 OPS this month.

This is random but I was thinking about Yophery today for some reason and I hadn't checked on him all summer. How do we feel about his season? .248/.320/.775. Hasn't hit lefties at all. Looks like April was v.good and then went into a tailspin for about 8 weeks before resurfacing lately.

Also, this was my first real check in on both Ragsdale and Frias post trade... they both have sputtered since leaving.

Who other than my young German Superheld, RHP Paul Hoff, to throw 5 frames of 1 unearned run ball in essentially a Must Win G2?
Love love love the season he is having.

14-8 DSL Brewers Gold 'W' in G2. And, perhaps more importantly, they got the Marcos Veras innings out of the way before G3 in a 'W'.😉

DSL Mariners (2-0) took down the DSL Giants Black (1-1) 8-7. Another tight One. It would seem the Mariners vs. Brewers Gold game has the makings of being highly competitive. That's a must win for the Crew should they hope to Advance.
