Heck of a job by Gasser last night.  He has really struggled this summer but he was definitely our mvp last night.

solid Work to pick up a game on the Dodgers that we lost the night before.

Should be a fun one tonight with the miz going.  Big time pitching matchup for the Braves and the Dodgers as well.

I like Hamilton and he definitely has a role with this team, but he should not be starting more than two games per week, period.  And in the late innings of really tight games, Ortiz should be playing third base and Pratt at shortstop, regardless of who started the game.

Hamilton is on thid team for his base running and to give Ortiz and Pratt a day off each week.  If we use him for that role, he will be successful.

if pancakes keeps starting him 5 times per week, he’s a negative WAR player for us

I have a friend who is a Reds fan and I think they’ve pretty much been tuned out for several months

They didn’t lose a game on the Dodgers the night before. The Braves have won both games in that series  

I hope Misirowski is able to pitch tonight and without interruption.. The weather forecast for NYC looks pretty grim.

Yea I think we should want Phi to catch ATL so (assuming 1 seed for MKE) Phi isn't a possible matchup in our first series.  Could possibly lead to Braves being the top WC too so Cubs have to play them on the road.   

I've been thinking for a while I'd prefer the 2 seed to get Braves or whoever gets the 6 seed in our first series. But Philly hot streak has put this in play so I think what I just laid out is a good middle ground to root for since they're clearly trying to win the 1 seed.  Basically, IMO Cubs/Phi are the other two best teams so don't want to play them right away.
