Assuming that is it for Bobby but not sure how you keep Gasser out of the playoff rotation and keep Harrison (given a 7 game series).

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Gasser probably deserves his own appreciation thread. He’s the number 5 that nobody wanted as a number 5. People wanted Sproat, or Crow, or Drohan. Not Gasser. Gasser even ticked his own manager off enough to pull him mid AB.

Yet, here we are in mid September. How many non-Dodger teams give you a #5 that strike out about a batter an inning and have a 4.20 ERA?

I know there has been some discussion about this. No blame to Lara there. That was a great play from Elly.

But I definitely had the sense that Lara was "blazing fast." He's not.

That's okay. I'm basically typing myself to remind myself moving forward. The kid can run, but probably not in the way I led myself to think.

He’s the third best pitcher right now

He may not have blazing speed, but he gets good jumps on balls and covers a lot of field.

Which kind of puzzles me because watching him track that ball in right center from Suarez the other day, he made up a LOT of ground. By who was closer to make a play, that was probably Mitchell’s ball. And Mitchell is not slow.

Kind of surprised about sending Gasser back out there for the 6th. Patrick was warming already in the 4th and I was happy to get him through 5.

Uh oh, is Mitchell hurt?

I thought Mitchell looked a little weird after sliding home late in yesterday's game, so I wonder if there was a little tweak or something.

I doubt that kind of substitution is reason to panic, but it might mean the guy has been nursing something. Now's a good time to be extra careful. Hopefully that isn't just blind optimism.

No matter how good the team is, we are the Brewers. We WILL get a reliever at the deadline and he WILL underperform once he gets here

Romero has been good.

Just haven’t been impressed at all with Senzatela.

I’m completely unimpressed. Don’t like him at all. Don’t trust him for playoffs.

Extremely small sample, but that’s an awfully tough claim to make of a guy who came in to today with a 6.75 ERA and 5.54 FIP as a Brewer.

Well, I made it. He's looked good to me. But I'm not a baseball expert.

He looked good today, so I’ll take that. Sometimes the eye test and stats don’t really match up in such a small sample.

He's pitched what, five times? And blew up once. Too early to cast judgements on him IMHO
