I don’t know if it would have mattered, but not much of the “Joey’s glove is just so good that you have to play him” chatter lately.

When he threw the ball you could tell he short armed it and it was going to bounce.

... right, immediately after he makes an error that puts on the tying run in a World Series game, there's not as much chatter.

He was 16 OAA this year in limited time at 3B.

His glove is great.

Or stick with Senzetela.

I'd then have gone with Harrison... but Ortiz doesn't boot the first ball and... the whole inning may play out differently.

Senz threw two innings yesterday and was already over 20 pitches today

Anyone else really dislike this strategy? Feel like 3 outs away from winning the WS with the tying run on 1B you should not be trying to pitch to contact.

What I didn't like about it was they were 2-strike hits. So yeah, there was an opportunity there to get a chase but we never really attacked it that way.

L on L vs Hicks, you certainly could've been more aggressive in that regard.

Then Harrison it should've been. At least he was showing signs of breaking out of his slump his last couple of appearances.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

I agree with you on this but your other takes is kind of crazy lol brewers are still in really good shape in the series

I’m feeling fine for the most part right now.

if they lose game 5 I’m going to start to get really, really tight.

I am not sure if you have experienced the full “Wisconsin Sports Fan Experience” over the last 25 years the way many of us have.

Bauers' and Mitchell's bats have been brutal.

Bauers hit 4 of the 5 balls 100 MPH or harder. xBAA of .570, .770, .230 and .20

That's not "brutal." That's hitting piss missiles at players.

Yeah I really don't like the Hicks AB looking back at it. 5 straight sinkers all middle or away. Need to change it up weather that's a breaking ball or coming inside with a sinker. Can't throw 5 straight sinkers all to the same area and not expect to give up hard contact.

Didn’t Drohan pitch on three previous occasions in the postseason and not give up a run? If that’s the case, I don’t think he was a bad option. Obviously he didn’t pitch well tonight.

Sure wish it had been great in the 13th inning of the World Series tonight.

He pitched once and looked awful in the inning plus he pitched.

I just don't think Joey can handle the pressure of the playoffs. He's been so bad every postseason for us. He's back to swinging at anything within a foot of the zone. He had two plays at 3B tonight both routine and both times he threw the ball in the dirt at 1B.

It was to win the WS.

He was still throwing well. He was 97-98... and he's a former starter... also 31 and a FA to be, he also gets a lot of GBs.

What? No. He definitely didn’t pitch against San Diego. I think he threw an inning against the Dodgers and was terrible.

Drohan had all grounders pretty much and they found holes

No, just one outing to start vs the LAD in Gm4 when they gave up 4 runs. He was erratic that game as well.

On a totally unrelated note, I didn’t care for the Sydney Sweeney gambling ad coming on again. I know it’s after 10pm, but I’ve got my two boys (11 and 8) enjoying a special stay up late situation with a possible WS clincher, and I already have a lot on my plate trying to have the “sports and life don’t always go the way you really desperately hope” talk. I really don’t need to have to have the other talk with them on top of this, too. C’mon, FOX, do better.

I’m pessimistic by nature. I just am.  I fear the worst.  It’s how I’m wired.  I’d love to flip a switch and be like a couple of the other posters.  I truly would. I’ve tried like hell to be more optimistic but I go back to my default settings.  Like everyone else, I want this so damn bad but I’ve seen so many big heartbreaking losses I just can’t help but think we blew our shot tonight.  Yes that might be crazy and over the top but it’s just who I am.

They were all bullets. I think they had 4 of the 7 hardest hit balls the Rays hit all night. All around 100 MPH exit velo and not missing bats.

He wasn't sharp. He was overthrowing vs the LAD and it hurt us... it hurt worse tonight.

It’s a 3-1 series lead man. Rays still have to win 3 straight. You have Miz, Henderson and Gasser next 3 games

They are in a good spot. It sucks because they had the kill shot right there and Murphy decided to play it safe. Let’s see what happens tomorrow

It's cleavage. They've seen much worse...

And my final observation before I try and flush this one and find some sleep is this: I’ve never been more thankful that CC doesn’t manage this team anymore than I am right now. I’ve got way more confidence in Murph getting these guys into the proper headspace.

They have Miz the next game... and then they're celebrating a World Series.

Would have rolled with Senzatela after the error. Drohan is just completely cooked.

I also really question the rostering of Woodruff. I don’t know how you can justify rostering a guy that is completely off limits today after pitching only one inning yesterday.

I think any manager who has a LHP in his pen, regardless of who it is, is going to use that LHP vs Hicks in that situation. Harrison over Drohan, that can be debated in hindsight.

Woodruff being off limits today? I suspect so, but that's a good question. Either way, he wasn't going to be used for Hicks-DeLuca-Simpson.

I’m not very confident in Miz going more than 4.  Yeah he wasn’t bad last outing but he’s running on E and far from a sure thing.  I’d have given him the chance to shut this thing down.
