To be clear, if it came down to Harrison or Drohan, I would have had a lot more faith in Harrison,

Honestly think I agree with that. Harrison I think is way more likely to get strikeouts there.

I don’t care if you all think I’m being negative or over the top.  You were 3 outs away from winning the World Series and you F’d it up because you pitched Shane bleeping Drohan.   If they beat your best then so be it.  You can’t throw your worst when you’re that close.

If Caminero goes to the IL, I wonder if they bring in Hopkins, dude has some Nasty stuff.

I might be wrong, but if that happens I thought I heard it has to be P for P, or pos player for pos player.

3-1 series lead, they’re in good shape and oddly I rather them win in Milwaukee anyways

No thank you, it has to get to 3-2 before it can get back to Milwaukee, I’d rather just finish it than face being one loss away from an elimination game.

I just recall off the top of my head that Vaughn would have a couple hundred innings at 3B this year if you were calling the shots, yes.

Well Vaughn might have been useful tonight, but that is not doom and gloom.

Neither is not wanting to see Shane Drohan in the 13th, or pointing out that 3-1 is not over.

Who was really available besides Drohan? I'm not considering Miz a real option but Harrison?

It was not a good place to be. I was desperately hoping they'd knock Chourio in during the top half.

I hope there isn't so little faith in Harrison that Drohan was the preferred choice. I hope it's that Harrison is tomorrow's bridge to the pen.

Really think Ashby needs to sit tomorrow. Gotta be a reason Harrison was rostered.

No but thinking we blew it is. There is a difference. my guess is you and I are thinking about different posts.

All I know is the bats need to come alive tomorrow, or at this point, tonight. I don't know how much we can ask of our bullpen. The offense shares some blame for this loss too.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

Yeah I'm gonna pass on that. 3-2 and this thing is up in the air. I still like our odds but every game needs to be Game 7 now.

I agree with you on this but your other takes is kind of crazy lol brewers are still in really good shape in the series

R - E - L - A - X

The hit a lot of popups.  A lot more than usual.  I think the hitters got away from the left-center to right-center approach.  Get a good night's rest and come back out tomorrow ready to go.  Get a 6 run lead late, let Harrison come in to pitch 2 and have Megill finish it out.

Maybe Woody?  We were thinking that might have been an option, too.  A very slim option, though.

Anyone else really dislike this strategy? Feel like 3 outs away from winning the WS with the tying run on 1B you should not be trying to pitch to contact.

Literally any other option would've been better than Drohan.

On the bright side, if there was a game that was going to be lost this series, it was game four, No real faith in a bullpen game. The bad news is we lost it in extra innings. I'd have rather been blown out if it would've saved some arms.

Of course the Rays' arms were used up too.  Perhaps this loss is a wakeup call and the guys are super focused for game 5.

“At least” 7? He hasn’t gone 7 innings in almost 3 months. There is nearly zero chance of getting 7 innings out of Miz tomorrow.

He could go 7 seeing as how there's no more having to worry about 'saving his innings'. But I agree it's unlikely, and saying we absolutely need 7 out of him is a strange thing to say.

Basically Drohan or Harrison were your choices

Thinking I'd love to see Vaughn get a start tomorrow and have Bauers as a PH option against a righty late in the game.

I also don’t want to see Ortiz play at all anymore this series - keep Hamilton at 3rd no matter what the game situation.

Miz should get the ball tomorrow, and let him go as long as he's effective - let the Rays scramble drill a bullpen game and put it to them early and often.

Yup. Let them throw their lefty. Seymour or whoever(Matz?)

I'm going;

LF Chourio
2B Turang
C Contreras
1B Bauers
DH Vaughn
SS-Pratt
RF-Frelick
CF-Lara
3B-Ortiz

My only issue would be Mitchell or Lara at #8... because once you burn your PHers... well, you burned them.
But when they go to a RHP, Yelly comes in for Vaughn...

We got this.

I’m going with Harrison every day of the week over Drohan.

Or stick with Senzetela.

I'd then have gone with Harrison... but Ortiz doesn't boot the first ball and... the whole inning may play out differently.

I don’t know if it would have mattered, but not much of the “Joey’s glove is just so good that you have to play him” chatter lately.

Bauers' and Mitchell's bats have been brutal.
