Because this lengthy "agent 39" thread is more of a hodegepodge of updates from Josh, our occasional miscellaneous questions for him, and his history here on our board, we've started a new thread specifically on the latest Jeffress feature article for any further discussion. Initially we were going to resurrect older threads, but looking back, many of the posts had a raw and understandably negative tone based on the news of the suspension. To be fair to Jeremy and all involved, a fresh thread seemed appropriate. That doesn't mean discussion there has to be all sunshine and roses, but it seems like the way to go.

Good luck, Jeremy. Hopefully everyone is not only rooting for you as a Brewer but as a person.

So please click for the new thread if you so choose, everyone.

Josh, if Kevin Goldstein is one of your best friends, you've got to tell him to spell your name right:

It was a very busy day for the father/son agent team of Howard and Josh Kushnik, as Herndon was their fourth client to be selected on Thursday morning...

For those of you who may have forgotten about Josh's blog (he admits his posts haven't been frequent), he did make one of his more substantive posts on one aspect of being a player agent this week. Obviously we can't know if this was Brewer related. A lot easier to write about success stories, so credit should be given when the opposite is true. He didn't have to post that but chose to.

My newest post on my blog is a rough draft of a piece I was asked to do for a well known website, the cleaned up version should be up eventually

Heres to 2010

For a slightly different perspective as to how someone entered the baseball player agent field, Florida Today featured RHP Damon Krestalude's agent this past weekend (link). The article covers multiple screens, so be sure to tab through to the end, as that's where Krestalude is quoted. There are several interesting names from the world of sports included, so it's a decent read.

Those of you that follow Josh's blog will have seen multiple lengthy posts there within the past week or so. I'm guessing that these (perhaps in a slightly edited form) will make up the basis of Josh's upcoming columns at Baseball Prospectus (Josh can confirm that for us). Not sure if the BP stuff will be free or subscription, so Josh may be giving his blog readers a bonus with all that...

Just caught up on your recent posts. You're a great storyteller -- Bucci, how you met Ford/Cain/Brantley, baseball card deals, all great reads. I really respect how hard you work and how honest you are.

Just to clarify folks who haven't caught up yet, that's ESPN's John Buccigross and not promising RHP Nick Bucci.

Cain's looking really strong this spring. It'd be awesome to see him show 20-25 HR power this season in Nashville, it would give us a solid RF option for the future if indeed Gomez works out.

I was at the field today, got to see Chris Dennis hit a couple of near shots for triples and alex periard absolutely shoved.

Strange watching Omar leave the field for the last time....nice to get a fresh start plus he's reunited with Brantley.

Josh: I absolutely loved the article! Darren, Lorenzo, and Michael are three of my favorite guys to pass through Charleston, and Lorenzo actually shares birthdays with my 8 year old son Jonathan (April 13), so he is a favorite of my boy. Always made me think Eric Davis from the first day I saw him launch one off the scoreboard in left center on the "money ball" in bp. Anyhow your "journalism" just brings a little "authentic insight" to your profession for those of us on the outside! Keep it up!

ps...no April fool's day joke, really loved it! lol

Josh, do you mind listing them for us so we can follow their exploits.

It's not bragging on your part since we asked for the list http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif.

I also have a weekly radio show on sirius satellite radio called Last Call on the hardcore sports channel, plus i just finished a 45 min podcast with Kevin Goldstein over baseball prospectus for anyone who wants to check that out. Just search my last name on Itunes for the radio show recordings (Kusnick).

Thanks
