Big mistake to switch Fielder for Overbay.... CUT the losses for Carlos Lee. That was the quietest 30+ homer 114 rbi season ever...especially for the $$$$. Quit saying how great Dana Eveland is...way overrated....

 

Fielder will out hit Overbay's numbers next season.

 

Eveland isn't great.... he has the potential to be great. Big diffference.

 

And you're not seriously suggesting declining Lee's option and letting him walk for nothing, are you?

Lee not going for nothing...Just trade him for whatever you think are biggest needs are..... and no way will Fielder outhit Overbay....maybe tie in hitting...but the big difference will be the difference in fielding that Overbay has over Fielder..

Fielder....... a K looking at a fastball right down the middle, standing in as the tying run in the last inning of the last game of the year.... (not Casey at the plate).. that's what Fielder and us will leave us with this off season (or at least for the rest of the day)

Great, fun year. Not a huge deal they didn't get the win here, IMO. Would have been nice, but doesn't change the fact they've made great strides this year. Can't wait for next season.
