Brilliant work Mike. Can we just hit Ward every time up or something? This is riDICulous!

Ben coulda given up 3 hits in a row.

Gammons on ESPN saying the Crew is "about to be sold." I think this was talked about on here before, but he said he has "sources" that told him this.

Also, according to Gammons we have a good CF prospect named Mark Krynzel. LOL.

Mark Krynzel along with Dave Krenzel. And Kynzel.

I wouldn't read too much into what Gammons says unless it is verified by other reporters. Too many times he says things that never come to pass.

Have they announced tonight's "attendance"? I switched to radio a while ago, but the park just *sounds* empty.

Edit: 23,512. Well, it keeps the pace at 2.15M...

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

23,000 on a Monday night against PIttsburgh despite losing 11 in a row, having 12 straight losing seasons, and no playoffs for 22 years?????

There is definitely something fishy going on here.

Even our fans fail. That guy couldn't even make a proper baghead. You don't show your face. You cut eyeholes. And maybe a mouthhole.

I just got back from the game. I was very proud of the Brewer faithful for their support. I mean, we've lost 11 straight, we're playing the Pirates, it's a Monday night, and 23,512 still come to the cheer on the Crew. Very nice.

However, I have never left a game due to sheer disgust until tonight. After Adams gave up the 3-run shot I left. I have never felt so discouraged over a team than I do right now. I was so exited and now I wish I was a fan of the Dodgers. But alas, I am a Brewer fan and I will be until the bitter end.

As for the game, Li'l Ben was awesome. Yes he gave up a no-doubter, yes he walked a few and beaned a few, but overall I was very impressed. If he consistently pitches like that the Brewers will be in good shape.

Not a terrible game, Ben did well, hopefully Davis is on tomorrow.

I love that baghead...but like was said before...you can't show your face! Only eyeholes! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I was at the game tonight and it was a beautiful night to be at the park, even if the team stinks. There is nooooo way that there were 23,000 people at the game. I've got to believe that was paid and not actual. I've been to plenty of games with around 15-18K and I'd say that's what was there tonight.

I was there too... number 24 for the year, and yeah it was definetely 23,000ish. 15,000 looks like a graveyard and it wasnt even empty tonight.

I left in the 7th, my faith is gone, my heart is drained and I couldn't be more displeased with the fact that I got booted out of seats that were cheaper than the seats on the face of my ticket. The Brewers need to learn to kiss up to fans... not piss them off.

Well it's terrible premature to say that Hendrickson "silenced" his critics. It was just one game against the Pirates, but he has now had as many good starts on the year as Obie. Hopefully with Moeller catching him and a respectable start under his belt he can settle in for the last month.

Nicely stated, as always, igor.

Keeping it in perspective, it was a solid effort. I hope I'm not beating this into the dirt, but as I've written before, BH had nothing more to prove in AAA, Obermueller is a proven failure, yet Ned felt compelled to demote young Ben, and, despite the fact that Obie-Wan didn't EARN being promoted back to the majors, Obermueller got more chances to blow.

If Ned's hand has to be physically forced to pencil in BH's name into the starting lineup over Obermueller by Doug for the rest of the season, then so be it.

We'd better not see Obie-Wan start another game for the Crew ever again.

"So if this fruit's a Brewer's fan, his ass gotta be from Wisconsin...(or Chicago)."
