Anyone see the Braves AA manager post-ejection antics?

Just saw this link elsewhere. From a game yesterday, I believe.

It was already mentioned in the Cubs/Pinella/Meltdown thread, but I'll leave this one open for now.

See, I knew it had to be somewhere around here. It was too good not to post.

Sorry, I didn't read much of that Cubs thread.

That's the funniest thing I've seen in a while. I've seen it on ESPN a few times, but I haven't heard exactly what he was arguing about. I suppose it doesn't matter in the end.

My favorite part was him covering the plate with dirt and then outlining a much larger plate.

The Grenade was classic.

That whole routine was major league quality.

The best part of the "grenade" was it landed right at the feet of the ump. Between this ejection and Pinella's triade I don't think I have ever laughed so hard about baseball in my life.

man, that's classic. The grenade part was hilarious.

I only wish we had video of Dean Treanor in my first AFL. He set an AFL record for ejections (in a 36 game season), and said some of the funniest things I've ever heard. Something along the lines of, "that's (expletive). You're just showing off cause your wife is in the first row, and you're bitter because she's pregnant with my kid"

wow, that reminded me of that one minor league manager last year as well, can't remember his name, but he threw bats and balls and slid into second, that was good too.

The Ump who ejected the manager last year is from DeSoto Wisconsin and I roomed with him in college...when I saw last nights episode on TV I was thinking to myself that he did it again! The ump from last year is a great guy and even a better ump he did a lot of the games I coached in at Platteville before he became an Minor League Ump.

I'll agree that was funny, but on the other hand, I don't necessarily like seeing the manager forcing himself into the spotlight and the center of attention on the field.

I saw it on ESPN while I was waiting for the Brewer game, and they were breaking it down and talking about managers getting ejected. Hilarious stuff! And they said this guy is a first year manager! Wait until he gets a bit more seasoning under his belt!

He's not a first-year manager, it's his first year managaing the M-Braves. He's a former manager of Chattanooga, where this all took place. It sounds like a very intersting game ... It started with a rain delay, Wellman's show came in the 2nd inning, the Braves' pitcher was ejected in the 5th for using a foreign substance on the ball, a couple more Braves were thrown out of the game and the Lookouts' J.C. Boscan fell victim to the hidden ball trick. The Lookouts website has the story.

I love this stuff. Just great, start to finish, a real gem! Look these guys aren't exactly college material--that level of humor and creativity has got to be unusual.

I rememver that too, who was that?

"I was flicking through the channels on the TV, on a Sunday in Milwaukee in the rain,
Trying to piece together conversations ... Trying to find out where to lay the blame"
