That's the first break we've gotten from an umpire in about 4 months.

About 6 more and we're even with the men in blue. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Ryan Braun...I absolutely love the kid but he has been perhaps, the most unclutch Brewer of them all this year. That is saying something. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

I salute you for your optimism, 47. I'm sorry that I'm finding it difficult to share it.

At least Claudio retired Brady Clark.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Between leaving Cordero to rot in the bullpen last week, using Chris Spurling in the eighth inning of a one-run game in Atlanta, and going to Vargas with the season literally on the line tonight, I guess we've seen the best of Ned managing every game like it's the last. Perhaps we're better off not making the playoffs, where Capuano would surely have started Game One because it would have kept him on normal rest.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

In his defense, Spurling had been pitching very well.

File this one under laughable:

WXRL

Scott Linebrink, MIL: -0.173

Joe Thatcher, SDP: 0.517

In other words, Joe Thatcher has been 3 times as good as Linebrink has been bad. Not Doug's best trade.

Braun with RISP: .331 average

RISP, 2 out: .306 average

He's actually been really, really clutch this year.
