Dear Cardinals,

Please interview any GMs with experience in Cinncy, Pitt, KC, or TB. Thanks.

Dear Walt,

Man looks in the abyss, there's nothing staring back at him. At that moment, man finds his character. And that is what keeps him out of the abyss.

I had heard rumors during the season that both Jocketty and LaRussa may end up in Seattle. I just hope St. Louis looks at someone who is gifted in allowing DM to fleece him.

I hope Jack Z. doesn't peak the Cardinals interest though. He can build a team to beat the team that he helped build here in Milwaukee. (Shudder).

I think you may have hit the nail on the head. I'd sure hate to lose him to the Cardinals.

Last week, in their infinite wisdom, the Mariners extended Bavasi and McLaren through the 2008 season. So, considering how the organization is incapable of recognizing good management and the position is not vacant, Jocketty/LaRussa probably aren't going to be in Seattle any time soon.

Dear Cardinals

That nice man on the TV with the lovely silver hair, Steve Philips, might be looking for a GM job. You'd certainly attract some more older ladies to follow your team if you hired him.

Dear Mr. Jocketty,

I think it's time for a change of leagues. I'm sure you are sick of building consistent winners in the NL and would welcome the challenge of running an AL franchise. Or in the very least, I think it's time you left the NL Central.

Thanks,

Even with the Cubs in the playoffs, with Hendry having only 1 season left on his contract, I would not be the least bit surprised to see him end up with the Cubs. I suppose the sale of the Cubs could change that though, as Jockety is not likely to be around long.

Dear StL,

Please look at Doug Melvin in Milwaukee. While his resume isn't impressive. He's built offensive machines and always neglected the BP with shoddy starting pitching. Just look at his sweeps right out of Texas.

Maybe Dave Duncan can work miracles with what Melvin gets.

PS. We'll even throw in Estrada if we can get Molina in return.

Thanks, Brewer fans
