Yes, if Rolen is too much of an injury concern, I'd love to see Andruw Jones (unlikely) or Aaron Rowand added and Hall moved to 3B. As colbyjack pointed out, a move with one of these guys is the best way to go IMO....for some reason Randy Winn just doesn't do it for me.

Why would the Brewers even consider trading Weeks? The guy is on the verge of putting it all together and becoming a superstar. There isnt any relief pitcher in baseball that I would trade Weeks for much less an overrated one like Chad Cordero.

What exactly makes you think Weeks is at the verge of becoming a superstar? to me he hasn't warranted anything above being average, and now all of a sudden he's almost a superstar. Sorry but unless you have a man crush on Weeks that statement is far from being truthful.

I agree with Al. Coming off of a wrist injury is a difficult task for a baseball player. Week's last 3rd of the season gave us a glimpse of a real special player evolving.

Barring another injury, I am of the firm conviction that Rickie Weeks is going to make people drool in 2008.

Haven't seen any of this stuff in specific yet, and figured this thread was the best place. I'm biting from Peter Abraham's Yankees blog (for the 3d time in < 5 mins., no less!):

"Nashville nuggets: The Orioles will trade Erik Bedard but want four prospects in return. The Mets want in that mix. … The Astros are being very aggressive and are seeking Miguel Tejada. … For once there are no Manny Ramirez rumors at this time of the season. … The managers will meet with the media starting tomorrow. The only no-show? Joe Torre."

I think people stopped looking at what Weeks did last year sometime around August 1st. Weeks' final line was:

.235/.374/.433

His power is back. His average is bound to go up. Hard not to be excited.

I think people stopped looking at Weeks as soon as they saw his .235 BA. Big mistake. He was our 2nd best guy as far as OBP.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

9 HR in the final month (2nd on the team only to Fielder's 11 and tied with Braun) should have opened up some eyes as to whether a healthy Weeks still had any power. IIRC, the HR he hit weren't cheap ones, either.

Weeks was clearly favoring the wrist for most of the season and even then he was getting on base at a high clip. Once his wrist got back to normal he played like a star. Weeks will have a breakout season in 2008 just wait and see.

Weeks had a 900 OPS the 2nd half of last year. Saying he's on the verge makes sense to me.

This adds nothing to the discussion. If you simply agree with something and have nothing to add, just tell yourself that you agree, be happy with it, and move on. If everyone posted every time they agreed with something, each thread would have many thousands of "ditto!" replies. Thanks.

Wow. Couldnt comments like this be made in private? Did "ditto!" add anything to the discussion? Probably not. However, either did calling him out for everyone and anyone to read.
