Eww no way. Look at how many games he's played the last couple years and his stats the past couple years. He should just retire.

Edit: Actually look at his stats for the past 7 years, he's pretty horrible.

Oh, my. No. No. No. No. No.

Hey, did you guys know he used to play football?

He and Gabe Gross could be friends!

I have learned from firejoemorgan.com that Erstad is essentially worthless. Unless we need a higher grit factor

I've heard he can be a battler at times also.

Counsell is 10x the battler Erstad is. And Dillon looks like he could be quite the battler as well.

Hah!

You cannot reach your full battling potential until you grow stubble and wear high socks. I'm sorry, but Counsell and Dillon both are way behind on those counts.

Counsell's batting stance alone makes up for his lack of stubble and high socks.

If the criteria is stubble and high socks I am nominating Dave Bush for the Battler of the Year Award as Presented by the 6 Foot and Under Foundation

Let's get this straight, once and for all. Counsell is scrappy, Erstad is gritty. From my extensive study of the matter, I think that pitchers can't be scrappy or gritty...but they can be gutty or crafty.

Battling is not in my lexicon, however...I think Yost made that one up himself.

Cops can be any of the above...but they prefer not to be called gutty so watch yourself.

Hey Erstad played college football* and so he brings that mental toughness that only such tough guys can bring.

*Ok, he was a punter. At Nebraska. When they were really good. Meaning he likely got in one punt a game. Bbut it counts according to Jim Rome!
