  1. Couldn't agree more. Pina is a huge part of this team's success. Same as last year. There is no reason that this pitching staff should be as effective as it is based solely on talent. Pina and Johnson deserve a lot of credit. Agreed , I have no problem with Pina. I do, however have a problem with Bandy as he's OFFENSIVE with the bat, and OFFENSIVE behind the plate. haha. I think we have AAA options far better but that's my opinion. I mean Arizona has 3 catchers I'd rather have than Bandy... lol. Yes. Bandy is terrible. And in my original post I was speaking about the talent of the starting pitching, not the bullpen.

  3. I agree with your post. Just had to chuckle at the "loud out" that got the guys to 2nd and 3rd. That was the least loud out ever.
  4. Top end, best of the best relievers fetch crazy good returns and Hader definitely falls into that category. The Cubs gave up the best prospect in baseball to rent Aroldis Chapman for 2 months. Hader is that tier of reliever only young and cheap and here for 6 years. In a hypothetical world where we put Hader on the market today I would guess half the teams in baseball would want in on the bidding and he would fetch at least what we ended up giving up for Yelich IMO. Yeah I thought about that after I said it. I think you guys are right. Look what the Yankees got for 2 1/2 years of Andrew Miller. I think it's crazy, but it doesn't really matter what I think.
  5. Well we finally found something we can all agree on.
  6. Yelich is a lot more valuable than Hader in my opinion. The control is only 1 year different. If Hader was a starter, I'd agree but he's not.
  7. Hamels is the only guy I'd want. And I wouldn't give that much for him, so I doubt he'd end up here on my watch.
  8. I like Sophia, but Jerry Augustine and Telly are just hilariously awful. Like up north commercial funny-bad.
  9. like nails on a chalkboard , and makes as much sense as Jason Bateman in Dodgeball made At least somebody finally got Schroeder to stop saying "still and all".
  10. She looks better now with shorter hair. That would be a great job for a gal who likes sports. Only a couple of women have been in the booth calling games. I missed my calling... Ha. The only thing I took from that video was how much better she looked with longer hair.
  11. Thanks for sharing. I was trying to explain this to my wife yesterday. Now I can just send her the link.
  12. If we traded Archer for Dubon I think your head might explode. I don't see any real need for Archer, but I sure wouldn't mind having him at the right price. Lowrie makes a ton of sense on a lot of levels. Don't see any real need for a catcher of that quality. Decent back up that bats lefthanded would be nice though.
  13. Very funny! ??? You wrote "lacate" instead of "locate". I admit I was thinking about making a lactation crack too.
  14. Yep. Agree to disagree, no biggie. I wasn't sure about the timeline, but he's a 2b.
  15. No you're not. Surgery September 1 (say) ready probably May 1 to DH throwing by July 1? These are guesses of course. And, yes, he's gaining plenty DHing at A+ and AA for a year. He's learning to hit higher-level pitchers.
  16. I think Trent Grisham will be a top 3 system prospect by season's end. And i think Ray will be top 5.
  17. Eh. If he DHs this year and needs surgery in the offseason I don't think it's the end of the world. Not ideal of course but not that big of a deal.
  18. I think he's a piece of crap, but oh baby, I jumped off the couch last night just the same. I personally have no trouble rooting for him. And I certainly don't hate him. I don't really think anyone hates him.
  19. Awesome calls by both for sure.
  20. He's been horrible for a decade or more. He's a legend and my favorite broadcaster ever, but he's been really bad for a while. Edit: Period ( when did that become a thing on here?).
