  1. Really overrated in my opinion. I rather have 6-7 #3 starters (like they do) rather than building a rotation around an ace. You need that to get through a whole season, and then hope a couple of those #3 guys pitch like a #1 down the stretch and/or in the playoffs.
  2. Hopefully this means that if the Brewers do wind up facing the Cubs in the postseason, there will FINALLY be more Brewer fans than Cub fans in Miller Park. Why? There would be no difference, there would still be an overwhelming number of Cubs fans compared to Brewers fans.
  3. Right now, CC clearly better. But let's wait to see how Miley does in the playoffs- remember Sabathia had only one outing, and it was not a good one.
  4. Indians gave up Aguilar for nothing, they're certainly not going to trade McKenzie to get him back. But if they offered, I would even drive Aguilar to the airport myself.
  5. Perez will be in the lineup. I'm going to guess Santana gets a start too. Braun sits. Also, Aguilar got hit on his hand last night, so he may be out.
  6. I think it helps Guerra can be back with option in 2019, as he can be the fallback if Burnes, Peralta, Woodruff don't work out...injuries to the vets, etc. Anderson Chacin Davies Burnes Peralta Woodruff There's a chance not all 6 will be healthy/ ready on opening day. If they are, Woodruff or Peralta can start in AAA until someone is injured/ ineffective. We all know you'll need at least 8 or 9 starters. Miley could be back for a reasonable contract, which would push both Peralta/Woodruff out of the rotation temporarily. But I agree, it's time for the young guns to get their spot in the rotation. Peralta you could argue has some things to work on, but Burnes should absolutely start the season in the rotation. He will have his struggles, but that's going to happen even if you wait another year. These are the guys Stearns wanted to protect, so take the training wheels off. And I think they will. And you didn’t even list Nelson. Right, I don't even consider Nelson. If he can make it all the way back, and then STAY healthy and effective it will be a bonus. Not counting on him at all, this isn't TJ we're talking about.
  7. Where are the people who were saying the Cubs are in our heads? Remember that gem?
  8. ... and they appropriately waited until the game was done Ok. I guess I won't lose any sleep over a fan waiving L flag 1/2 inning early in a 11-1 game.
  9. Been preaching way too early to say any game is huge yet. But have to admit, a loss tomorrow would really bum me out.
  10. Ball 4. I don't want to see Albers in a game again this year, even if we're winning 11teen to nothing.
  11. Gore looks like that kid in that Tubie commercial.
  12. They like giving Braun a day before an off day. Hard to argue with making sure he lasts through October. Thames about due for a start. Could be him at 1B, Grandy in the OF.
  13. With a day off Thursday and a chance to pick up another win on the division leaders, it would be a travesty to get the B-team tomorrow. There is no "B team" or Sunday lineup anymore, if there ever was one. That's been way overblown around here. No Moose or Pina tonight, does that mean tonight is a Sunday lineup? Edit: Love the MVP chants starting to grow every day.
  14. Whenever they show Miley in the dugout he has a look on his face like "I wish I was hunting bison right now."
  15. Such a Brewers play!! Wait, that was the Cubs!!! I guess other good teams can kick and throw the ball around.
  16. No. An actual robot behind home plate. He could also fire a ray gun at Madden whenever he complains about the strike zone.
  17. Nice ab for Arcia. Monty just threw a perfect pitch to get him.
  18. Every player makes some terrible errors. Cain just yesterday for example. And I wouldn't say the 2nd inning is an awful time.

  20. Their really isn't much rebuilding in the NFL. Every season at least one team goes worst to first, and vice versa. You just never know when it's going to click. Mack was available, and they got him- good move for the Bears. Jags came out of nowhere with Bortles at QB, and there's 2 or 3 stories like that every year. The gap between being a bad team and a good team in today's NFL doesn't take much.
  21. My guess, Perez gets a start over Arcia or Schoop.
