  1. TJ Watt's contract makes him very trade-able. One year left at only $1.7MM. Give Pittsburgh a 1st and 3rd and reunite the Watts. Heck, Derek can even come over and be the Thanasis of of the Watts.
  2. I think adding another really good TE would help this offense more than another WR who may not see the field much next year anyhow. Adams, MVS, Lazard, Tonyan, and TE 1B would be scary- especially in the red zone. Yea, draft a WR if you want. They have plenty of picks, I'm still a BPA available guy for the most part. But we were reminded once again you can have an MVP QB but it's tough to win a SB without at least a really good defense. We need more talent there, period. Now that we have an unquestioned genius at the helm on defense, give him a CB, MLB, and a pass rusher. Not sure that's even possible in one year with limited resources, but that's what they need.
  3. This tutorial may help clear things up:
  4. Has Rodgers been pushing for an extension or the Packers? That's what I've been asking since the Love pick. I don't see a downside for the Packers. And Rodgers is a smart guy, he must know how the cap works. He wants them to go all in? Then he must know his cap number needs to be way lower next year. Credit to both sides though, nothing is being leaked if they are working out an extension.
  5. He would make more money by restructuring, because it would include a big signing bonus. Restructuring is all about freeing up cap space the next couple years. No scenario where Rodgers would make less. Another way of looking at it, the vast majority of pay next season would be signing bonus instead of salary.
  6. Zimmermann said he feels great, best shape of his life, and is looking forward to his best season ever.
  7. Giannis 0 assists, Middleton 0-5 from 3. Yet outstanding games from both, weird.
  8. lol I've been having to fill out symptom surveys twice a day on top of this. My attention span is getting taxed right now. Thankfully, I found that my workplace is basically giving me free Covid days off, so I don't have to burn PTO when I'm not feeling well. Definitely use those. It's the law, they have to give you paid time off for Covid, FWIW.
  9. Cincinnati is weird. Whenever I go there it feels like the midwest, the south, and east coast all at the same time.
  10. That's how it should work IMHO. Full season tix holders, then partial, etc. I am not a season tiket holder of any sort either, I just think this would be the fair way.
  11. My dream, delay start of Spring Training, then allow 25% capacitt at those ST games. Is Maryvale much more than 25% at a lot of games anyhow? The day they announce that, I'm buying plane tickets.
  12. Oh, yea, he's not too old yet by any means. They may have a plan in place though, maybe he becomes AD, who knows. I'm just saying that would be the reason if Leonard turns down the Packers.
  13. Would not surprise me if Leonhard is offered the job and turns it down. If that does happen, I'm sure they would make it sound mutual, so we may never know which side said no. He is the Head Coach in waiting at UW, and that's likely what he really wants. He's not going to wait 10 years to get it, but he probably knows he has 2-3 years to wait.
  14. I just don't see Hiura at 1B.His size, his glove, stretching, scooping in between hops... I think it could be disastrous. If we're going elite level defense up the middle, don't ruin it with giving up outs at 1B. I can see it now. Arcia makes a great play deep in the whole. Throw to first, inning over. Oops....wait...Hiura can't scoop it. Maybe Hiura is included in a Hader trade, but that's odd too because they would be selling low. We'll see, I'll trust the plan for now.
  15. Not if you use Cascade.
  16. Devil's advocate... but isn't this kind of like saying a male doctor shouldn't have a female patient? Or a human veterinarian shouldn't perform surgery on an animal patient? lol. That's obviously an absurd example, but why couldn't someone without 1st person experience evaluate and instruct what another person is doing with their anatomy that could be improved? The bottom line is no one on here really knows what her qualifications are, so if you think this was possibly just a promotional stunt you probably don't think very highly of the front office. I think it's a pretty smart group, so with that in mind I'll maintain confidence they know what they're doing and congratulate her on her new position! No, it's not like that. This young woman has no experience hitting a baseball, let aline at a professional level. The anology you're looking for is a college history major teaching a thoracic surgeon a new technique.
  17. Someone mentioned Stearns, and how young he was when he got the GM job. But he's more qualified for that position than bullpen coach. I see this as a similar situation. If Stearns announced some 27 year old woman was his new Assistant GM, makes sense. Same woman given the pitching coach job? Makes no sense. I would need to know specifically what her job duties will be in order to have any reaction.. If she's smart with good communication skills, really doesn't matter if she's young and/or a female. She could do a lot of things. If her role involves evaluating hitting technique, approach, stance, etc. then I don't get it.
  18. not true at all. If you look at a calculator that does this, it all is dependent on your tax situation. If your tax rate is the exact same at the time of contributing and when withdrawing, they will result in exactly the same amount of money. However, I think nearly everyone agrees that taxes will not be going down long-term...if anything they may go up. Therefore, it's better to pay the taxes at a lower rate now than later in life at a higher rate. Even beyond that, it's nice to look at the balance in my Roth 403b and know that the balance is what I'll get, whereas the balance in my 403b will lose a chunk to the gov't--that's the emotional/optical aspect. If tax rate is the same they result in the same amount? Not possible. If you invest those pre-tax dollars you're saving from pre-tax contributions you build far more.
  19. For most people you will come out far better with traditional vs Roth. Just look at the cumulative effect of taking that money pre-tax every year for decades. That growth will far out-weigh whatever the tax changes may or not be in retirement. Again, for MOST people.
  20. I brought this up in the other thread yesterday, I figured one side or the other wanted to restructure, so wouldn't be surprised if this story is true. Not sure why the Packers wouldn't do it. Not much downside. Free up cap space for next year, and ride your elite QB for a few more years. You can pull the plug at any time and rebuild. Only downside is not raking in multiple draft picks for a trade after next season, but I can't fathom why they would trade him anyhow. And actually, I don't care about Jordan Love. If he really is a stud, flip him or he's a great backup to have.
  21. [quote name=nate82 ] That settles it never going to have Detroit style. The hot lunch pizza in grade school tasted like they used cardboard for crust and ketchup for sauce and the cheese was whatever they could scrape off the grill. Hopefully there wasn't any sausage on the pizza because if you were unlucky enough to get the sausage one it was basically some kind of mystery meat that no one knows where it came from. Haha, yea actually ours wasn't that bad. But I was talking more about the style. Big pan cut into squares, thick crust.
  22. Detroit style is fine, I would never choose it though. Actually, reminds me of hot lunch pizza in grade school.
  23. Sorry, my King comment shoyld have been blue.
  24. I have no problem with anyone who wants to start a gofundme for travel, a new bike, a new tv, whatever. More power to them if people are stupud enough to contribute.
