  1. These are all solid ideas, well done!! Shower safety night...outstanding!
  2. Kids run the bases. And the Brewers must stay and watch, since the kids will make fewer mistakes.
  3. Been thinking about giving away the rest of my ticket pack to charity, but that would just be cruel.
  4. They could shoot off fireworks after every hit, since that's the equivalent of HRs in the past. Maybe free hot dogs for games where they score more than 2 runs, on the off chance that happens? And a walk??? Well, if any Brewer should ever happen to take a walk again, they could have a parade down Wisconsin Ave. As far as pre/post game coverage, every night should consist of Augy explaining what a breakaball is, and why it helps the bawclub.
  5. I remember from the IGTs, his pitching philosophy was "don't walk people, but don't give them good pitch to hit." Wasn't it something like that?
  6. Actually, Herrera should have been on opening day roster in place of Jimenez. Clark should have been on roster instead of Schafer.
  7. Good, yet another guy who should have been on the roster to begin with.
  8. Game 2 was theirs for the taking. Very odd game, season low assists and horrible shooting. They can't get drawn into all this "who's tougher" stuff, that's falling right into the Bulls hands. Bulls have decided to take Giannis out of the game, he's going to have to adjust to that- they need him to be productive. Watching this series, plus some of the other match-ups off and on, one thing is clear to me. The Bucks need someone where you put the ball in his hands and he can score any way possible. Shoot a 3, drive and score, get fouled, whatever. Brandon Knight was that guy, now they have nobody who can do it. Every really good team has 1-2 guys like that, and the more I watch that seems to be the difference between great teams and good teams.
  9. They're throwing everything low out of the strike zone to get him out. If it's a fastball, he'll ground out, breaking stuff he'll strike-out.
  10. Why not? Maybe a team loves Segura, why not trade him for a top shelf player that is also pre-arby, or may not even be in MLB yet? I don't think you need to be blown away, just get a good return that will make your team better in the long run.
  11. We are stuck with Braun. Nobody is gonna take that contract with that baggage. I understand that, some guys will be very difficult to move. That's why they aren't going to trade 23 guys. You ask around about all of them though, and see what you get in return. And, by the way, I don't think Braun's baggage would prevent a trade. There's a ton of guys who have been caught, I don't think that scares anyone away. What DOES scare people away is somehow Braun has evolved into Kevin Mench.
  12. Yea, and I didn't mean to single out WCS. With all the money, cap space, PR involved you just have to know who you're getting. You have guys like Jabari where it's an easy call, but most guys aren't that cur and dried character wise. Team chemistry is one of the things the Bucks have going for them, so important to keep that in tact. At least for the next couple years that Milwaukee has...you know...a team.
  13. Would love WCS, pending character check, investigation, etc. they do with players these days. The thought of at times having WCS, Henson, Parker, Giannis, and MCW on the floor together. Wow, talk about length.
  14. Anyone on the 25 not names Peralta or Nelson should be on the trading blocks. That's not to say they should trade all of them, but if you get the right offer you take it.
  15. Simple as this. Nothing more really needs to be said, but I will anyhow. What's more, every opposing team knows this. Another problem that lies at the feet of RR. Not only does this not bother him, he encourages it. That may have worked when you had Fielder, Braun, Weeks, Hart, etc. in their prime. But now power is down across MLB, and even moreso with the Brewers current line-up.
  16. They don't need a post player on offense, that really isn't a necessity for their offense- or most offenses run in the NBA these days. They need guys who can get to the rim- and they have that. And Parker will be one more. Then you need guys who can knock down threes- that's the past they're missing on offense. This Bulls match-up is tough, I would rather play anyone in the East- maybe even Cleveland.
  17. I just wanted to point out three guys that never seem to get any love, yet have been putting up some very good numbers: Yadiel Rivera Mostly because the system is loaded at middle IF, Rivera is a guy that nobody ever seems to be excited about. Yet he has been pretty consistent, putting up .700 OPS- not bad at all for a middle IF these days. I get the sense he will be included as a throw-in for a future trade, and I think he's a better player than that. Nick Ramirez Placed no better than #35 on the bf.net list, yet he has been very consistent, hitting around .750. A little old for AA maybe, but he has some power- and he will take his walks. A lefty bat that can hit .750 with power and willing to walk? To me, that's someone who may have a real shot. But, like Rivera, I fear he could be a throw-in guy in a trade. Ariel Pena Ok, not quite fair. Not much to talk about until this year. But he had an outstanding spring training, and is pitching well in a very tough place to pitch so far in Colorado. I could see him as a Marco Rivera type- long relief and the ability to start if needed. (Hopefully similarity doesn't include 4 or 5 HRs every inning.) Would be curious to see what you guys think about these three guys. Anyone else under the radar?
  18. Managing is more than benching people if they don't perform or make a bone-headed play. Think about your own career. Weren't their bosses who got the most out of you, and bosses who did not? How a manager gets the most from his players is insignificant. Over the years, some have done it through reputation. Others have used fear and intimidation. Other s have been a "players coach." I could go and on. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. Either you find a way to get people to perform for you, or you don't. Finally, sometimes there doesn't need to be a tangible reason to fire a manager. When you get the sense the team is dormant, nothing seems to change or get any better, etc., changing the manager is worth a try. Maybe that works, maybe it doesn't, but let me ask this. What do they have to lose? Is anyone really going to look back 3 years from now and long for RR to be back?
  19. What?? Nobody has said anything about his hitting. The discussion has been about poor base running, not throwing it to the right base, etc. ie mental errors.
  20. I already said how I know, he's said it himself. As recently as Spring Training this year to be precise. And I don't care if he plays American style or Russian style, stupid mistakes are an international language.
  21. The problem I have is RR hasn't even tried. He has said so more than once, that he doesn't want to reign Gomez in and you get the good with the bad. That's insane. Gomez is not a 9 year old, I'm sure if you approach him the right way and explain the difference between aggressive and stupid, he can understand it.
  22. I'm neutral on the logos. Don't love them, don't hate them. The main one is still very similar to the current one. I'm more interested in the uniforms, and really hope the home uniforms don't have a huge "BUCKS" written out. To give you an idea what I like, Washington, Golden State, Brooklyn are all unis I love. Something more classic, I just think the more classic they are the cooler they look. As far as next year goes, I don't want to move Henson. He can be a great guy to have off the bench for years, and won't cost a ton of money to keep long-term. I don't want to subtract a rim protector just to draft another one. No, I rather add another one. Defense is what can make the Bucks unique, and I want 2-3 guys in the game at all times that can protect the rim. Ideally, I would like to add another big PG. Ennis and Guiterrez just don't do it for me, and Bayless doesn't play the point very well at all. He has a place, but shouldn't be playing much PG. That's what I would add for sure. Another 6'5" + PG, another defense first Center, who can also function in the offense they have. That's it for next year. Now, if they trade Mayo and/or Sova, I will adjust my thinking. But I think another year with the guys they have, add those two pieces, plus get Parker back...let's see how far they can go. Then in 2016-17 season it will become more clear exactly what piece they need to take the next step.
  23. Gameday shows Lind double, but now 1 out and no runner at 2nd. Did he get picked off?
  24. They weren't losing because they traded Knight. They were losing because Mayo, Dudley and Ersan were all hurt at the same time. They went from the best bench in the league to what would've been the worst in the league for 3 weeks. I don't know about that. Irsan missed a stretch of games earlier this season too. At the same time Henson was out. Plus, Knight had to adjust to losing Parker, whole saga with Larry, and they were juggling the rotation on the fly every night. Pretty sure Mayo missed a few games back then, Pachulia too. MCW has been playing better, but he had some really awful games- regardless of who else was available that night, he was just bad. I hope he plays well in the playoffs, that will be the deciding factor in whether they can upset Toronto/Chicago in the first round.
