  1. I highly doubt Morgan will be traded. He's too marketable for The Brewers to trade him. Seeing that Aoki's left handed, there may be a chance that Morgan could be traded, but I just don't see why the Brewers would ditch the marketability that T-Plush brings. Sounds like DM is going to be moving forward with the straight platoon like last season which is completely fine by me as your maximizing both offensive skill sets. If Aoki pans out, there's a possibility of Hart being traded, but I doubt that DM wants to rid himself of affordable offense with Hart.
  2. Lucroy/Kottaras: If Lucroy bats 2nd, then 20. If he bats 7/8: then 16 Gamel: 14 Weeks: 33 Braun: 29 if he plays a full season. 20 if he is suspended Ramirez: 31 Hart: 26 Gonzalez:17 Gomez/Morgan: 7
  3. That narrows it down to: - venereal disease he's taking meds for - venereal disease causing elevated levels of testosterone - penis enlargement surgery - sex change operation Or infertility. But yes, all sex related issues.
  4. This makes me eagerly and inpatiently happy!!
  5. I'm assuming we'll see just how good a hitter Braun is without Prince protecting him. Even with Ramirez protecting him, it's still not Prince Fielder. I'm guessing we'll see some sort of drop off or increased periods of slumps for Braun post Fielder. Does that mean he was using PEDs? Not sure. It could just be that Prince is gone and pitchers don't respect Ramirez the same way.
  6. Thank you for reminding me of the frustration I felt towards Wolf for forcing RR's hand on this. Lucroy lost out on a lot of PT because of Wolf.
  7. I liked his answers. Very positive. The answer he gave regarding whether or not he's going to have increased pressure w/Fielder and Braun out of the line-up, he said that "you win with pitching"..."with K-Rod and a good closer, and we have a good 5 man rotation. That's how you win ballgames." Welcome to Milwaukee Aramis!
  8. I think it would be safe assume the buyout and consider it $36M guaranteed money over 3 years. In other words, what are the chances the Brewers are going to pay ARam at least $16M in 2015 (assuming minimum logical, since no details). My first thought when I saw what type of steep escalation on salary was what kind of no-trade protection is built in. Could be the Brewers are out of it in 2013 and someone needs a corner infielder..... I guess the more I think about the comfort of a 3 year guarantee it makes some sense. However, if he really had confidence in his abilities, couldn't he have taken the $16 million from the Cubs this year and then signed a similar contract next year that basically would have netted him $52M over 4 years instead of $36M over 3? I understand that given his age, the chances are less that he would get a similar contract next year, but you would like to think that players that you sign have confidence in their abilities. Makes me think that he's worried he won't have a good season this year, so he better take the money while he can. I think he just wanted out of Chicago. He was sick of playing for a losing organization. He saw Milwaukee on the up and up and being close enough for his family to not have to relocate. Money is big, no question....but I think the main factor was that he was done playing at Wrigly and that horrible albatros of a field.
  9. With Braun... Morgan/Gomez Lucroy Braun Aramis Weeks Hart Gamel Gonzalez W/out Braun.... Morgan Green (1B) Weeks Aramis Hart Gamel (LF) Lucroy Gonzalez Either way, I'm glad DM went out and got Ramirez. He helps make this line-up stable w/out Braun in there and makes it a very good offense when Braun comes back. C'mon #8....beat this rap!!!
  10. Give Gamel a shot. Once he gets his confidence that he's an everyday player, his bat will prove itself. It has in the minors. He just needs some confidence in the show. No thanks to Pena. No more Cubs! (even though I'm very happy with the Ramirez signing)
  11. Aside from innocent-until-proven-guilty, how is any of the 'blind mistrust' different from your blind faith in Braun? Sure is a lot easier to chastise someone without knowing any facts rather than showing loyalty to your team/players and being patient while waiting for the facts, hey?
  12. I just got back from work and read this entire thread. Frankly, I'm upset to be associated with many of you! Within seconds of hearing the news come out, the majority of you were chastising him and passing judgment on information you did not know anything about. As stated earlier, if this story would not have been leaked to ESPN, and he is found innocent, then none of us would ever have known about this. I feel confident that Braun will win his appeal and everyone of you who threw stones at Braun tonight will have to answer to yourselves and seriously kick yourselves in the behind. How dare you! Wait till the facts come out. In Braun I trust! When has he ever demonstrated a personality, physical structure, change in his game that warrants ANY of you to cast blame. He's been a model of consistency. PEDS result in changes in your production patterns. I'm very very disappointed in many of you.
  13. I don't need him to hit 30 HRs. I just need him to hit 22-25, get 90-100 RBI's, continue his above .300 avg, and have a suitable OBP. All things that ARam will bring to us in the clean-up role. We need a clean up hitter and he is the perfect person on the market this year to protect Braun. His glove is average. Not the best, but not the worst. Weeks, Hart, Gamel are not clean-up hitters! This signing would allow our line-up to stay flexible and productive. ARam is exactly what we need.
  14. How come we haven't heard any financial terms to the deal? Seems kinda weird that everyone else who is signing has a reported cost to their deal except for Gonzalez.
  15. When do the Arby hearings occur?
  16. I'm hoping that it's just a matter of time until we see ARam. He would make our line-up so much flexible. We could use Lucroy in the 2 hole finally! Make it happen MA and DM!
  17. Lucroy! You see what he can do in front of a pitcher. Just imagine what he can do in front of Braun.
  18. I'm still betting on seeing ARam in our line-up. DM knows we need some protection for Braun while keeping Weeks out of the 4 hole.
  19. Well, I guess this answers my question from before. Wow. I gotta think that DM and MA have talked about this and have a reserve of money set up to spend on improving our infield. Either that or a trade will be observed. This is just the beginning.
  20. I doubt this is the case, but what are the odds that KRod is actually stalling because he wants to get the Brewers back for not giving him a chance to close games last year? At the last moment will decide to not accept arby? I wouldn't mind seeing him on the Crew again next year, but in all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if this were the case.
  21. I for one thinks it's quite insane to spend $2 million Just to talk to someone. What a horrible system and if I were Mark and DM, there's no way I would ever entertain an idea that would make me spend that much money just to be able to speak to someone about a deal. Horrible x Infinity!
  22. Per a Tweet by Chris Singleton (Don't know who this person is)... but he tweets that a good source of his states that a Rollins deal with the Phillies is close. This was retweeting by Olney. If/when this becomes true, then I would imagine we see an offer to Aram very quickly.
  23. Seriously! Ramirez most definitely is not on McGehee's Christmas card list. Nice post Robin.
  24. I am really starting to feel this way as well. If Doug Melvin thinks McGehee and Yuni and Gamel are going to come close to making this a competitive team next season, i feel we may be entering the dark ages again after 2012, especially if Greinke and Marcum leave. I think our realistic best case scenario right now is to sign Ramirez and Furcal. Be patient my friends. It's way too early to be acting this pessimistic. What has DM done in the past to show you that he would stay quiet during an offseason.
