  1. I am more worried about the 5 PA Kotsay will get in the playoffs instead of Gamel.
  2. If he comes up when will Kotsay play? We have to find Kotsay playing time.
  3. I like the fact that they got most of the coaches to participate too. Where is Uecker? I see Rock.
  4. Maybe, "Thank you for coming to Milwaukee." Then move on.
  5. Hasn't been proven rookies will mess up team chemistry and will not be able to hit. He obviously isn't a rookie cause he can hit. His MiLB stats mean nothing.
  6. Seems like he likes winning. We would have to show that we are going to keep winning for him to sign an extension.
  7. We have Betancourt. Of course Hairston would be an upgrade at SS.
  8. Ahead of Kotsay even. I like the move. A lot.
  9. NOW I can like the deal. If we can offer him arbitration, even better. Not sure if we can or would though.
  10. My wife isn't a baseball fan. She will definitely go to a game with me but I doubt she could name more than 2-3 Brewers. I would say that you have a somewhat unusual group of friends.
  11. Why every game Ron? Why?That made me think of Nancy Kerrigan.
  12. If you look at the 2008 club they really didn't give any young players much of a chance outside of September call-ups. The only young guys they really had were Parra, Gallardo and Braun. Braun and Gallardo had significant playing time the previous year. It seems to be Melvin's MO not to give young guys any playing time if the Brewers are competing for the playoffs.
  13. Right but when Weeks comes back he will have to be placed on the 25 man roster and somebody else moved off. At least I think so. Not that it really matters much. It is only a paper move.
  14. It sure doesn't look like Weeks will return before the rosters can expand Sept. 1st. So Weeks would just be activated with no corresponding roster move necessary. It is a paper move but you have to make a roster move. Only guys on the 25 man roster are eligible for the postseason.
  15. Wilson, Counsell and De La Cruz seem like the most likely candidates. I know it is to much to hope Kotsay is on the way out. Those 4 are the only ones that would make logical sense to move off the active roster.
  16. I believe that endorsements for NBA players are much much higher than for MLB players so while I am sure he did leave a good chunk of money on the table I doubt it is like a MLB player taking less money to play somewhere else. He went to Miami so his income taxes will be smaller.
  17. I know we had a few really hot, almost unbearable hot, weeks there but I don't want to start thinking about winter for quite a while.
  18. Gonna go BACK in time.
  19. What percentage of total earnings can players earn on their contract in baseball vs basketball? Also, I am not familiar with the NBA salary rules but how much did he really leave on the table by changing teams?
  20. Let's see how fast Milwaukee's attendance drops if they don't do well. There are always diehard fans in any sport but you don't get good attendance when you don't win. Gate receipts are just a small portion of revenue. Their market size means they can get a bigger TV contract which is a huge advantage.
  21. They aren't making another Kotor, they are making another Galaxies. I doubt it will allow a pause between combat rounds. I'm sure it will be another click fest RPG-lite.I believe it is an MMORPG. No thanks unless it has no monthly charges.
  22. The Twin Cities market size is twice that of Milwaukee. Bigger than the St. Louis area. They really are not a small market team. They just used to have a skinflint owner.
  23. They are old so I am not sure how much longer they can remain effective. So I guess I am not sure we will want to resign them and if we do we may not want to offer enough to keep them.
  24. Could be that your last bill was estimated usage and this month's bill was actual and had to make up for the previous month. Happens to sometimes when we get a hot month or really cold month.
