  1. The likely platoon at 2B is really limiting our roster options. You can't platoon to many positions.
  2. Payroll did seem a little more even a couple years back. Things have just exploded over the last couple offseasons. Just after we signed a new TV deal that looked like we were heading in the right direction.
  3. I agree but I don't feel that this whole Ryan Braun fiasco really accomplished much other than make the commissioner's office feel better. The game isn't clean. I don't feel they are being vigilant. There are more clinics out there supplying the players. The fact they haven't found more than a couple(Biogenesis, BALCO) leads me to believe they are not really trying. Either clean up the game or don't. I tire of the half assed PR driven measures they have taken so far.
  4. Pedobear
  5. I think it was 2 months to avoid super 2. That is just a rough estimate because Super 2 is based on a certain number of players not actual time. I think it is something like 160 days on a MLB roster to receive one year of service time. Edit: Looks like they would have to spend at least 20 days in the minors for a team to gain a year
  6. I think Gennett will end up back in AAA for at least a few weeks just to see what Weeks can do. If he doesn't come out playing well I think he gets cut. I agree it would be a bad idea to keep both. Considering how the team is expected to do I think a month or two to let Weeks possibly rebuild some value is a low risk investment.
  7. When was the last time Molitor had a bobble?
  8. The whole thing is flawed. It is actually easier to see Brewers games out of market than in.
  9. He might actually be better at 3B. He seems to have more problems when he has time to throw than when he doesn't.
  10. Why would we want to do that deal? We are done with Weeks and Ramirez after this year. Why take back Uggla and that contract? I would rather leave Weeks out of a trade and get some good talent back. Looks like Johnson has at least 4 years of service time in already so no way would he be the "3B of the future." Money is tight for us but really isn't the issue. We need young talent. Greinke for Segura is the model for trades we should be looking at not Podsednik for Lee.
  11. His act was tired when he was useful on the field as the big half of a platoon. No reason to sign him now.
  12. We love the free 2 day shipping from Amazon. When the movie we are looking for is on both we always watch Netflix. Like mentioned, Amazon is kind of a pain finding stuff that is free streaming. I don't miss cable a bit, except FSN, but I do miss TiVo. I know we could still do TiVo but then we would have to pay $20 a month for the service. I think Netflix is a must have if you stream. I briefly considered Hulu but it wasn't inclusive enough and I resent paying for commercials.
  13. Companies are closing for the day as well.
  14. Only the top 10 are protected.
  15. Yes they would have to give up a first round pick to sign him. I thought we would see a story about how Mark A. invited him to his house around Christmas and a deal was already signed.
  16. My wife couldn't wait for the car windows to defrost on the inside so she scraped them. Now the window has a white haze and I get thicker ice right in my line of vision that takes forever to defrost. I hate clean the windows inside the car in the winter.
  17. He isn't any more injury prone but he is old and has had knee problems the last couple years. Like many many old players, that shouldn't be expected to get better.
  18. He looked better before the trade. An .819 OPS wouldn't be horrible. He dropped off quite a bit after we acquired him. Not great overall. Link
  19. Who can say no to this smile? http://miamiherald.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83451b26169e2019b016e0839970c-320wi NO.
  20. South Central Wisconsin we have our 4" it can stop now.
  21. Just because they made a stupid mistake doesn't mean they should make the same stupid mistake again.
  22. I can get my main calendar to sync with my phone. I have other calendars in that same Outlook account that will not sync. The web searching I did seemed to indicate that at some point last year Google dropped support of multiple Outlook calendars.
  23. Most of those guys were barely used at 1B last year. Using some combination of those guys other than Francisco would have been an improvement.
