  1. When the show first started I actually thought that would be the ending of Season 1. Sort of shows how slow the TV series is vs the comics.
  2. Worst. timing. ever.
  3. Still don't get the joke. Not trying to be argumentative, I just don't see what you are saying.
  4. Not sure I follow. The store has a creepy minimalist design. I'm all for not having clutter and hiding your cables, but its over the top. The employees are pompous with comments like "congratulations" when you purchase something. The design and the attitude are all taken to a level that makes it excessively self-important. It's my understanding that's pretty much the definition of pompous, is it not?
  5. Don't other stores sell iPads? I would never set foot in an Apple store. Is there a more pompous and creepily minimalist setting in in the world?
  6. My ps3 feed looked better than my cable feed.
  7. No other company in the world could get away with screwing its customers the way Apple manages to in terms of storage capacity.
  8. If you live in a 4G area(i don't), then that's sweet. Otherwise, I don't see the need to jump out and buy a new one, if you already have the ipad 2. They are adding a Quad-core processor and retina display as well. Quad core GPU. The main chip is still dual core. And the LTE variant is an extra $120.
  9. I've read them. The mlb article mentions nothing of him getting injured because he was out of shape, or as the JS writers insinuated at the time because he was too lazy to stretch out. I don't want to read too much into the JS article, but it is funny a quote in there doesn't appear in McCalvy's article. Gamel, says: "I've never helped my case, getting hurt," said Gamel. "Last year could have been prevented by showing up in better shape, looking back on it." Is he talking about not getting called up? Is he talking about the injury? I wonder what Tom's question was, since McCalvy didn't feel the need to include that story line. Those quotes could have been at two different times or on two different thoughts. Just for the record, I do believe Gamel was out of shape last year, but there are tons of guys who report to camp to get into shape every year and can still rake. Not the best idea for a rookie, and I'm happy to see him in better shape this year, but I still think there was some personal touches in those past stories and perhaps they are still showing their way through.
  10. Right, the Mcalvy story was the one without spin. I think you missed my point.
  11. He isn't Gamel, so Tom probably wont spin it that way. Didn't Gamel himself recently admit he came into camp last year carrying a few extra pounds or something which didn't help his oblique? I just don't see every criticism of Gamel as a conspiracy against him. Yea, he said he lost some weight going into this season. But the JS writers said something to the effect that he was injured because he didn't stretch out properly and we never had a quote indicating that. All the other bloggers who wrote their stories with the same information didn't put that spin on it. I'll admit, I've been holding way to much resentment over that story and a few other things that were spun about Gamel last year, I guess part of it is carry over from when the Tom and Witrado did the same thing to Weeks and Parra in the past. I just feel bad for these kids when part of the fan base turns on them because they aren't liked by one or two individuals who hold way too much power.
  12. He isn't Gamel, so Tom probably wont spin it that way.
  13. Wow, didn't see that coming.
  14. I don't know that you can watch live games on the app.
  15. Not sure, I got it on a channel I've never noticed called UToo from Comcast in Chicago. It was in SD. Mike Kelley did the game though, always nice to see him.
  16. And Gardner gets some PT today. Hopefully he can get his legs under him for the tourny. This team could be a dangerous 3 seed.
  17. I wasn't aware that you could get 3G for a month or so, that's actually pretty sweet. Still though, I prefer the wireless hotspot route. iOS does not have widgets. Its one of the shortcomings of iOS vs Android or even Windows and it doesn't look like it will be changing anytime soon. A widget allows you to place dynamic information directly on your home screens instead of just apps or folders. Most Android apps come with a widget. As an example, for my calendar I use the default Google calendar program. On my home screen, I have a widget which displayed the next 8 or so events that will be coming up. When one of them passes, it updates to remove that event and shows a new one on the bottom. Time, weather, stock tickers, sports scores, music controls, emails, scrollable contacts, it's all right there for you when you turn on your home screen. It saves a tremendous amount of time over having to actually open an app to get your information. While the UI is better on an iPad, widgets really make a tablet for me. There is just so much real estate on the home screens, I love having all my information a swipe or two away. Here are some examples, the first two images are Android tablets and the last is an iPad: http://cdn.alltouchtablet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/android-3.1-home-screen.jpg http://www.colbybrownphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Screenshot_2012-02-12-20-52-27-720x450.png http://www.ipadinsight.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/iPad2HomeScreen.jpg
  18. To add to the rooting/jailbreaking thing, its much easier to root and unlock Android devices as they are open sourced and its actually encouraged (for the most part). Apple, on the other hand, has attempted to limit the success of jailbroken devices over the years. I've never had a jailbroken device, so I can't speak of specifics, but thats just what I have read in articles. Rooting an Android phone is pretty straight forward though.
  19. I have had the Asus Transformer Prime for about 3 weeks now and like it. I'm still in the camp that a tablet is a luxury toy, so if I had to chose between a tablet and an ultra book it wouldn't even be a choice for me. The nice thing about the Transformer Prime is that you can also get a keyboard dock that basically makes it into an ultra book. I do have to say, the UI on the iPad is still better than Ice Creme Sandwich. But from my perspective, I have to have widgets. Its almost like thats what a tablet was made for. I fire it up and can have tons of updated info literally at my fingertips. Plus you customize it with various launchers to really get what you want. Without this going into yet another internet debate of Android vs. iOS, the advantages of Android really pushed me towards an ICS tablet over the iPad. It helps that with an Android phone, and hopefully the upcoming Google living room device later this year, I didn't want to go outside my ecosystem. Its also sweet that I can use the tablet as my phone when I've got it in my lap and my phone is on the coffee table in front of me (yea, I'm that lazy). In terms of paying for lte/3g, thats a personal decision. I've got my Galaxy Nexus rooted, so with one click, it can become a wireless hotspot. That means if I am on the train, I can push one button on my phone, and its connection is then my tablet's connection. I wouldn't want to pay an additional 30 a month, especially for a 3g connection. If the iPad3 does end up having LTE, you may want to consider it though. Personally 3G is just annoying at this point and I don't see how anyone could lock themselves into a contract for it.
  20. Sweet, thanks Casey and Hawing.
  21. Same thing happened to my brother and I for screening at that age. For example my mom said they asked me to cut out a circle and handed me a piece of paper with a circle drawn on it. I cut one, but it was really small and didn't follow the lines so they gave me bad marks. Years later when my brother went through the same tests he did most of the same things, but she knew to tell them that he had done exactly what they asked, just in his own way. Anyway, my roommates sister is an amazing artist. I will ask him to send me some pictures to post here. She draws a lot of animals native to WI.
  22. Actually thats strange, why is my signature not showing up?
  23. You should throw a link in your signature. Outside of that, I don't see the need to do any direct advertising.
  24. Hilarious. Just bought 6!
  25. For the most part I agree with you, but there are a lot of teams who would have trouble if their two biggest men went down for an extended amount of time. In terms of how some of those players you listed would match up against MU, are they that much better than a guy like Andre Drummond, who will be the 2nd or 3rd pick in the draft and who Crowder shut down a week or two ago?
