  1. I agree trwi. From the angle that that shot (pass) was made, the 6 foot wide goal was probably only a foot wide. There is no reason why Nabokov should have left that small window open. Well they get a crack at tying the series tonight right after the Bucks/Brewers game. I have a pretty good idea what I will be doing then...
  2. Update: I went home over the weekend and it turns out it was the fan from the graphics card. I cleaned it off with a Q tip and the sound stopped almost on command. Thanks everyone for the help.
  3. That sharks game was a definite heartbreaker. They were the better team yesterday. I really thought they were going to score right before the PP with 7 minutes left in the third. They really put some awesome pressure on the avs defense. I was wondering where that "no defense" comment came from. I've never really noticed a difference in defense between the East and West all season. Now with the SC on the line, teams are going to fight that much harder than what they did in the regular season.
  4. It is really tough for me to decide which team to root for. That's the problem with not having an nhl team in Wisconsin. Although I am rooting for the preds, sens, and coyotes, I guess I have to go with the Sharks to win it all. They have Pavelski and Heatley on their team. Amazing win for them today too. Pavelski scored the tying goal with 30 seconds left in regulation. I was going nuts. Two years ago, I never really got into hockey. My Minnesotan roommate quickly changed that and converted me. Now I rarely miss a game. Playing the NHL games for xbox only amplified my addiction. Has anyone here played NHL10? That is my absolute favorite game. I loved having my two tvs on during the Brewer game today. One had the Brewers and the other had Versus on. It had a best buy feel to it. I've seen at least part of every game that has been on TV so far, so I will try to keep this thread alive.
  5. Use firefox and the videodownloadhelper add-on. This will download the mp3 which you can then put into a media player (not an Apple fan).
  6. Thanks for all the tips. Once I get back home, I will try them out. I don't trust my dad enough to relay these tips over the phone.
  7. Not sure about the legality of this, but it looks like you might be able to stream it at this website. Channelsurfing.net had mlb games on it yesterday, but I don't see any games on there today. I don't understand why you can be black out of watching your hometown team.
  8. Here's another one for the Brewerfan tech team. I do know a little about computer hardware (hard drives, cd drives, ram), but not enough to trust myself and get my hands dirty when it comes to fans. Anyways, on my parents desktop, a fan is making a really loud noise. After talking to my dad over the phone, we narrowed it down to what fan is making the noise. It is not the power supply or the big fan that blows out of the case. It was a fan labeled arx ceradyna, 12 volt .11 amp. When I tried to get my dad tell me where it was, he didn't know what it was. With very little confidence, my guess is that it might be one for the heat sync. The fan is still spinning, but I am afraid to keep the computer on for a long period of time. Even after dusting the computer, it still makes these loud noises. Alright, I am done trying to sound like I know what I am talking about. Does anybody have a better idea what is going on? Is this something that you can swap out with a new one? Thanks in advance.
  9. Wes Helms I know I will take some hits for this, but I'm sticking to my guns. I think his little mishap that happened in Puerto Rico put an abrupt end to his career as a Brewer. I'm glad he was able to put it back together after his time with the crew. He is now thriving in Florida as a pinch hitter and a backup corner infielder. After all, he hit that homer against the Mets that helped the Brewers into the playoffs.
  10. Yea. It just must be on the list to be on the list. It is not working. Looks like Ted Davis is going to have to do for today.
  11. Channelsurfing.net is the way to go. I watched the non-televised game against the mavericks earlier this year. Worthless dirk hit that shot at the end of overtime to win. Anyways, it looks like the bucks are on there today. I'm waiting for the broadcast to start now.
  12. Brian Anderson is also doing the game for the free webcast.
  13. The audio appears to be free because I am not part of any mlb package and am listening to the national anthem right now.
  14. Does Lucroy know that Rivera is in the Yankees system now? Still good read. He seems like a down to earth kind of guy.
  15. I think the only reason I am getting 620 in Madison is because I am right on Lake Monona by John Nolen and am away from any interference caused by the TV and computer. Even with this perfect storm, it still takes luck finding the perfect spot. I can move my radio 6" and it will not come at all.
  16. I got 620 in Madison! I have this little portable radio and I was walking all over the house and found one spot where it came in. I wish I could have heard the run being scored.
  17. Good find Homer. It is always good to see something in writing from the University to back up my second hand source. This just gets me even more excited about Thursday.
  18. I ran into my dentist again today. Leuer is supposed to be back for the Minnesota game. This could be huge for the Badgers.
  19. The tiebreaker rules are simple in the Big Ten.....there aren't any. It is just one big tie. In 2002, there were many Big Ten Champions. In 2003, there was only 1 -- the Badgers were the undisputed Big Ten Champions.
  20. No idea where my seats are, but I will also be there.
  21. Awesome stuff there on efficiency zzzmanwitz. I'm surprised to see the badgers ranked so high in offensive efficiency. After figuring out what all of the stats mean, one stat really sticks out to me -- tempo, which measures the average number of possessions per game. The Badgers only average 61 possessions per game, which ranks 341. This shows that they are very deliberate with Bo's "swing offense." I'm not really sure how to describe this, but West Virginia is fairly similar to the Badgers when comparing offensive efficiency, defensive efficiency, and tempo. West Virginia temp rank is 297 with 64.4 possessions per game, defense rank is 24, and offense rank is 4. The Badgers possession rank is 341, defensive rank is 6, and their offensive efficiency is 22. Adding up the offensive and defensive ranks for both teams give 28. So what the badgers add defensively, WV adds offensively. When you subtract the defensive efficiency from the offensive efficiency with both teams, the difference between those two teams is one point. Even if this adds nothing to the fire, I find it rather interesting that there is another team out there that takes advantage of every offensive possession with success like the Badgers.
  22. Its probably a little late, but I also had the same problem. My solution to listen to the radio and watch it on tv didn't work out so great because the the radio was easily 10 seconds ahead of the tv. Hopefully tomorrow's game will be better.
  23. Yea....I don't know what I was thinking when I was typing that. The latest to expect him back would be six weeks from 1/21....or 3/3. Good catch.
  24. My dentist's son is an assistant coach for the Badgers, so I have some insider information on the status of Leuer (if you believe my source is credible, which it is). At the Michigan game (1/20) we ran into my dentist and talked about the status of Leuer. He said that the wrist injury would take 4-8 weeks to heal and at that point he was 2 weeks into it. So the earliest we can expect him back is next week (possibly MSU). The latest we can expect him back would be somewhere around 2/10. As I look at the schedule, this puts him back for either Illinois or Indiana. He was 100% confident that he would be back before the start of the Big Ten Tourney. Hopefully he is back sooner rather than later.
  25. Usually Johnny Mac can keep his composure calling a game, but today he just flat out lost it. I have never heard him yell on the air like that. Bogut clearly had position and Kobe just ran him over. I second this comment. The next two Wild games on going to be televised on FSN -- Thursday and Friday at 6. Hopefully this will be a little more entertaining.
