  1. This trade also cements the fact that there will be no trades happening for a 3B either. Looks like the opening day offensive roster is pretty much a done deal now.
  2. CC doesn't care about splits, if he is a RHH he must crush lefties, it is only logical.
  3. I understand it, but it doesn't thrill me. Really hope it was a cheap signing. I guess we can pretty much say for certainty that Turang will not be on the opening day roster with this move. I'm not expecting much, so I hope this pays off.
  4. Pretty sure that photo isn't Quero, but Feliciano. lol
  5. Brock on the list? Nope. I'm ok with Prince being #1, but Cooper should be #2 if not # 1b. I'd have even been comfortable with Cooper at #1 and Prince 1b.
  6. Ok, but when things get tough, and you act like that, it shows a little bit about your character, right? Just hope we don't get that version of Winker if things don't go his way early on.
  7. Since no one could vouch for Babylon, decided to take a chance and go see M3GAN. It was an interesting flick, and I liked it, but nothing earth shattering. Glad I went but probably not for everybody.
  8. The only way he is not extended, imo, is that he decides to step away. He has a free pass as long as he wants to manage in Milwaukee. That can either be good, or bad, depending on your opinion of Craig Counsell.
  9. That sure doesn't paint him in a positive light. I can't imagine any locker room is going to appreciate his type on the team. I hope we didn't just get a negative influence on the locker room. I don't think we can afford that. I doubt a guy like him can suddenly flick a switch and become a great teammate. I don't know if we even have a guy on this team that can turn him around. Pretty disappointing really.
  10. Include Houser or Lauer in trade ideas... or both if we get the right guy(s) back!

  12. Not a chance in hell Toronto trades Manoah for Burnes. Why would that make sense for them? Why would they trade a younger Ace who they have under control for another ace that they will only have for two seasons? Also, I want nothing to do with Biggio, a guy who lives off his last name.
  13. LOL true. I didn't realize he was a starter, figured he was a reliever.
  14. Has anyone invested 3 hours in seeing Babylon? I've seen the trailors many many times and I still don't really know what it is about. lol I have a crush on Margot Robbie, which is really the only reason I am considering going. Anyone?
  15. It's really too bad that Small hasn't taken that next step to be an actual option for the 2023 rotation. I had high hopes for him while he was in Appleton, but he just hasn't turned that corner yet.
  16. We will never know will we. Expected stats mean nothing, the only way to settle this argument is if we got to see what would have happened had he been managed correctly, and that is impossible, no matter what the expected stats say.
  17. Because he WAS mismanaged, that is the reason why. He had one stretch of what, 15 games with regular playing time, way too small of a sample to determine anything. The glaring error was continuously batting him against lefties because all righties hit lefties well. CC refused to look at his splits and just kept banging away when everyone but him knew it wasn't working. Hiura was mismanaged for the entire 2022 season.
  18. Given today's market, he won't take that, just don't see it. I think his agent would laugh at an offer of 155 million. If he were a free agent now, I can't see him getting less than 200 million. 2 years from now, if these big market GMs keep spending, it will probably be more than that unless he tanks the next 2 seasons. I think we lost the chance to get him at a good price, the extension should have been offered after the 2021 season, now it's just too late.

  20. Sadly, I believe it does. I think Adames is happy in Milwaukee, at least, it sure seems that way. Can we expect a little bit of a hometown discount? In today's world, probably not. I think it would be wise to trade him as soon as we get an offer we can't refuse. As much as I'd hate to see him go, it's just the way things are.
