  1. If he's a great player, he'll be a Dodger...
  2. Is it technically illegal to have dogs sitting in your lap while driving? If it is legal, it shouldn't be. Had a lady cut me off yesterday. Just driving along, on a straight stretch of 45 mph roadway, and she absolutely cuts me off for no apparent reason. I'm assuming she just didn't see me in her blind spot. So I pull up next to her at the next stoplight (Yes she cut me off, then switched lanes about a 1/4 mile up the road, you can't make this stuff up) and she has about a 40 lb. dog going wild in her lap, looking out the window at me... Light turns green, dog stays in her lap, spazzing out, and through all that, she has to drive. Get to the next light, same exact thing. Dog is completely hyper, on her lap, and she thinks it's safe to drive like that? Also has 2 kids in car seats in the backseat, so not only endangering all those around her, but also her own kids if/when she causes an accident. I know people are extremely attached to their dogs, but c'mon. It's bad enough we have to play dodgeball from all the idiots on their phones while driving, so we simply do not need any other distractions behind the wheel. I see dogs on drivers laps a lot, and it really bugs me.
  3. I'd rather not see another MLB team in Canada. They had their chance in Montreal, it didn't work. Why would it be any different now? I'm sure the travel for MLB teams out of the country is a big hassle. Let them keep their Blue Jays, but if other teams are added, I'd rather see them here in the US.
  4. Ok, now I am convinced that you throw things like this into your posts just for reaction... There isn't any chance you truly believe we should lock up Mitchell on an extension. You are just playing us. On the off chance that you truly do believe what you typed, why on earth do you think we should consider extending a guy who can't go a day without getting seriously injured? Why? Huh, WHY? WHY?
  5. DVD purge: Went off track a bit and got away from the C movies... The Last Seduction - Interesting movie, it kept me occupied, but in the end, not really worth keeping. The Munsters - Trash, not funny, just not good. Gone. Killing Me Softly - Heather Graham being naked a few times... lol The plotlliine was good, it didn't have a stupid ending, so I think I'll keep this one around. Keeper. Back to the C's: Continental Divide - Belushi, not at his best. The movie is fine, but no need to see it again. Gone Cliffhanger - Stalone and big mountains. I enjoyed seeing it again, but no need to keep it around. Gone Collateral - This is a good one imo! I'm a pretty big fan of Tom Cruise, the actor, and usually like his movies. Keeper! Cloverfield - On the fence with this one... I liked it, found it interesting, and I like this kind of disaster/apocolypse type movie. Undecided still if I want it to occupy storage space or just dump it. Cocktail - Always liked this one. Keeper Coach Carter - Keeper
  6. All this Seigler talk, I just don't get it. He had his chance and failed. Just because he can play multiple positions doesn't, and shouldn't move him up in the pecking order for anything. The guy can't hit, he offers nothing. No way do I count on him for anything other than AAA emergency stuff.
  7. 2027 is the season that might not be...There will be baseball in 2026. 2026 is the perfect time to see what we have in Quero. Please Murphy, give William some extra rest days to keep him healthy for the playoffs, and don't be afraid to let the guy DH a little more. (of course, that creates a problem with Yelich since it appears his only role moving forward is at DH) We need to work Quero in next year to see if we think we need to extend Contreras or not. Problem is, I doubt we can afford a Contreras extension anyway, so 2026 is the perfect time to see what Quero can do on this level.
  8. Mariners’ general manager Justin Hollander told reporters on Thursday that bringing back Josh Naylor will be a priority during the offseason. President of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto and skipper Dan Wilson also noted their desire to bring Naylor back. Hollander also explained that Naylor seemed to enjoy his time with the Mariners, “Everything I got from him was that he really liked it here… Josh just got two months plus the playoffs of what Seattle is like as a sports town. … He’s a really good dude and I really do think he liked it here a lot.” The 28-year-old slugger is hitting the free agent market for the first time following an outstanding season in which he slashed .295/.353/.462 with 20 homers, 92 RBI and a career-high 30 stolen bases in 604 plate appearances between the M’s and Diamondbacks. He’ll be one of the most highly coveted players available on the market this winter. Source: Brent Stecker
  9. Muncy has been hurt a LOT the past two seasons. (73 games played in 2023 and 100 in 2024) For that reason, unless he comes cheap, REALLY cheap, I don't think he's worth the risk for what he will probably cost. I'd be shocked if the Dodgers don't bring him back, but more than likely they will be in on that 3B from Japan, so it's possible...
  10. Independent journalist Francys Romero reports that veteran right-hander Cody Ponce is interested in returning to Major League Baseball for the 2026 season. The 31-year-old hurler won the pitching triple crown in the Korea Baseball Organization in 2025, posting a scintillating 17-1 record, 1.89 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and a 252/41 K/BB ratio over 180 2/3 innings in 29 starts for the Hanwha Eagles. Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic has noted that the Giants are among the teams that are interested in the right-hander — who hasn’t pitched in a big league contest since 2021. Source: Francys Romero
  11. Curious, who is your #1? You can't like them equally, hell, I can't believe anyone can follow or care about two teams in MLB much less follow them closely. I just do not understand split loyalties. I'd go as far as to say that if you have more than one "favorite" team, you can't seriously be a real fan of either, but that is a discussion for another day. I am a Brewers fan, and dislike all the other teams equally, except for the Cubs and Cardinals, those two teams I have actual hate for. So which is it, had the Brewers played the Mariners in the World Series, who would you have rooted for?
  12. Has anyone checked out DMV yet? I'm expecting a little Office and/or Superstore flavor...
  13. Chicago PD has always been a great show. I do not watch their sister shows though, and find it annoying when they tie them all into one long episode once a year or every other year... Anyway, looking forward to Boston Blue (Blue Bloods spin-off) since I was a huge fan of Blue Bloods.
  14. You should know being a Cubs fan and all...
  15. If he can play 3B, he'll be a Dodger. Dodgers have 1st rights to any Japanese player worth a damn. Baseball.
  16. I don't want to pile on here, but this makes no sense at all. Yelich playing in the field is over. Only in an emergency situation does he go back out to LF. We can't have 2 players that can only play DH, and Ozuna isn't even any better than Yelich to begin with. We don't want him anywhere near the OF so this just is baffling as to how you came up with him as an option, much less the "perfect signing." HARD PASS!
  17. You have Stearns on speed dial?
  18. My God, to be a Mariners fan right about now... Gut wrenching. Rooting for SEA, but I doubt it matters in the end as I don't think either team can hang with the Dodgers.
  19. Our society is deadlocked in hate. The dems hate the republicans (actually TRUMP) and the republicans hate the dems. There is very little middle ground these days, you are either one or the other or you just don't care, or even bother to pay attention. So sick of politics taking over every faction of our lives, it's disturbing, and a bit sickening.
  20. I just don't think 3 at 50 million is going to get this done. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict his next contract is al least 6 years, at 25 million per. 6 years at 150 million, and that might be light. I could see a 7 year 200 million deal as well. Both of which out prices the Brewers. I think it's a dangerous mind game to play with ourselves to think we have a chance to either extend him for a home team discount, or even extend him for market value (impossible). It just isn't going to happen as long as there are teams out there willing to pay him what he thinks he is worth on the open market. Nothing wrong with seeing what we can get in the off season, and if those offers aren't good enough, keep him, and let him anchor the 2026 squad.
  21. I love that trade idea, but it's going to be far too rich for the Mets. I'd be happy with Tong and Williams. How do the two of those players stack up against Ortiz and Hall that we got for Burnes? Again, I like the thought, but not a chance they give up that much for one year of Freddy when they can wait a year, and sign him in free agency.
  22. Dude, how many times are you going to post this? We've all seen it, multiple times, we get it. Geez.
