  1. Nope, I'm not a Packers fan, although I'm pretty sure there is a thread here in the off topic forum if you are really interested. Google some of my user names? Kind or cringey, creepy and weird, but have at it...
  2. If so, is it worth it? I am considering doing something like this in the summer, and would like to hear from anyone who has done it in the past.
  3. This is a baseball board, but I'm sure if you look real hard, you can find a Bears board to post on. I give you credit though, being a Cubs fan on a Brewers board, and still checking in is commendable.
  4. I only want to move him if someone is willing to pay up. By pay up, I mean by us getting a BIG bat for the OF or 3B in return that is MLB ready NOW! That is our need, a BIG BAT! To be honest, if all we can get for him is the equivalency of DL Hall and Joey Ortiz, then I'd rather hang onto him for his last season. His value to the starting rotation is far greater than another Hall and Ortiz, especially with all the talent that is going to be knocking on our door after this season.
  5. I don't have any quotable sources, but I've read over the years that he can be a difficult teammate. Understandable, really, he puts out a bit of a selfish vibe if you ask me. As far as him being likeable, that is an opinion, I have never quite been able to warm up to him as a person. He just isn't a guy that you immediately can get behind, like I said, it's an opinion. The roller coaster comment I made, isn't that pretty self explanatory? Did you not watch the guy in a Brewers uniform? Have you seen the season he just had with the Yankees, in a contract year no less? I don't want him back, been there done that. He isn't one of our greatest needs, and the money it would cost us, I'd rather put someplace else.
  6. Who is this CARLOS Quintana you speak of? I would not be interested in reuniting with Williams. I don't think he's a good clubhouse presence, I don't think he is very likable, and I just don't want to deal with the roller coaster ride he will surely send us on throughout the season. He'd have to be really cheap for me to even consider it, I mean REALLY cheap, and that isn't going to happen.
  7. This would be just perfect. Shine that light even brighter on what is wrong with MLB. Fork out another 200 million contract, and defer 90% of it into eternity. The fact the Dodgers can even entertain the idea of adding salary is gross, just absolutely GROSS. Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Dodgers are expected to pursue Kyle Tucker in free agency this winter. It’s not a surprise, as Tucker is one of — if not the — top overall option available on the open market this winter. The Dodgers consider their outfield to be an area of need, at least relative to their completely stacked roster, so the two sides linking up would seem to make a great deal of sense. If the 28-year-old outfielder is serious about winning, joining a team that has been to two straight World Series while winning at least one of them, seems like a tremendous opportunity. 8. I'd be 100% fine with him just moving on from the Brewers all together. In fact, I hope that happens. Tired of part timers, I want my full time homer announcers damn it!
  9. What do we still owe Yelich, 3 years at 75 million? I'd definitely be willing to trade him just to get out from under that contract. Return doesn't even have to be great or good, I'd settle for decent. I might even settle for OK if it meant we drop that contract. However, if we aren't going to use that 75 million on another bat, then what's the point. I don't want to trade him so ownership can line their pockets with cash, I want to trade him so we can put that money to use on a different player or players.
  10. Ok, that's hilarious right there...lol
  11. Yeah, poor Dodgers, having to throw Blake Snell again in order to have to win the series...
  12. Do you still have them?
  13. Celebrity deaths don't usually effect me too much, but this one, this one does. KISS are easily my favorite group of all time, they tie into most of my childhood and teenage memories. They are basically the soundtrack to my life. RIP Spaceman...
  14. The 2025 Dodgers are a far cry for the 1982 Angels, and we have to win 4 straight, not 3. Sorry people, it's over.
  15. Actually, no, we haven't. We had a chance in the 9th in game one, but we were owned for 8 innings. Game two, no chance. Game 3, have you been watching? Nope, not competitive, just bad hitting as usual.
  16. Agreed. He just slid straight into the plate, where it looked like a backdoor slide and tag of the plate may have been a safe call...
  17. Raise your hand if Ashby's results today were a surprise to anyone on this board? Anyone? Buehler? I'm not even blaming Ashby, hell, he's doing what is asked of him. This is on Murphy, and his unwillingness to look at the situation in front of him. At this rate, Ashby will probably be the opener tomorrow too.
  18. Roofman - Good flick, very funny, and well worth 2 hours of your time. This wasn't high on my list of movies to see, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. Even with a dude sitting next to me, that had to have spent 30 minutes in his car with the windows closed, smoking pot before coming into the theater. The smell was so strong I was wondering if I would get a contact high before the movie ended. I mean, it was as if he was smoking up right there beside me it was that strong.
  19. So we continue to be hell bent on forcing Ashby to pitch until his arm falls off. Pitching him in 7 of 8 playoff games is just whacko. It's confusing, frustrating, and down right comical at this point. He is NOT our only lefty, right? C'mon Murphy, get creative and start someone other than Ashby. If this goes south right off the bat in the first inning, Murphy deserves every single ounce of criticism he gets, this is just asinine.
  20. I admire you guys who are still clinging to that last ray of hope. Seriously, I do. To be honest though, once we lost game 2, I accepted that it's over. The hole we dug is just too damn deep. Pretending we can win 2 of 3 in LA when we couldn't muster up a single win at home is just a little bit on the crazy side, especially the way we are hitting. As I said a few days ago, beating the Cubs was my world series, anything else was just pure gravy which is why I am able to accept what is about to happen. It's been a fun season, really fun, and knocking Counsell and the Cubs from the playoffs was beautiful, but the Dodgers are just too much, and that's ok...............................for now. The future remains bright!
  21. So my question is this: Who would you replace Yelich with if he were to get benched for a game? It's not like we have anyone, ANYONE AT ALL, who is playing so well that we have to get them at bats. Jansen maybe? The cupboard is bare, really bare.
  22. Don't like Turang in that 2 hole, just don't like it...
