  1. Now the question is, how many more innings do you try to scrape out of the Miz?
  2. To be completely honest, I would have too. It would have been uncharted territory, but worth the risk in a game like this.
  3. Success! Busch has been defeated..................................for now...
  4. I certainly hope so. I'm going to feel a lot better once we get past Busch in the 1st, hopefully, Megill strikes this clown out!
  5. As long as Megill doesn't walk anyone, I'm fine with this as well. Not a chance in hell the Cubs will hit another homer in the 1st, right?
  6. I'm just going to leave this right here:
  7. I wonder how long it takes in the Dodger series for Murphy to put Yelich back at lead-off? 1st game? 2nd game? Does he start tonight's line-up, have us go up 2-0, then tinker with the line-up again in game 3 and have Yelich leading off? Think he has learned his lesson? I don't, I think we'll see Yelich leading off again in the near future.
  8. Braves beat writer Mark Bowman expects Ha-Seong Kim to decline his $16 million player option with the Braves. Kim struggled in his return from shoulder surgery, hitting .234/.304/.345 in 191 plate appearances for the Rays and Braves, but he was trending up some at the end of the year. Plus, it’s an uncrowded field at shortstop this winter, with Kim ranking second or third at the position behind Bo Bichette and maybe Trevor Story if he opts out of his deal. Even if teams would be wary of signing him to a long-term deal, Kim should be able to beat $16 million on a one-year deal. Source: MLB.com

  10. Well, there are many, many, MANY things that could change your mind during the course of the game, let's just hope you are right, and that them losing isn't a thing at all.
  11. Who is this Travis Megill you speak of? Can he hit dingers?
  12. Not a chance the Miz gets held back for extras. This kid is going t pitch today, and probably in a bright lights situation. Not a chance Murphy has the capability of holding him back. I wouldn't hold Patrick back either. He needs to pitch today for us to have a chance, same thing with GOOD Miz. If we get bad Miz, things will go South quickly.
  13. In 2027, we better have Luke Adams or Blake Burke at 1B, if not, they have either not lived up to expectation, or have been traded.
  14. I don't think I'd go with Ashby. He just hasn't been sharp his last couple of outings, why continue going to a dry well? If he isn't on his game, and we start out in the hole yet again in the first inning, that could be the final nail in the coffin. Ashby, right now, is way to risky for my liking, especially starting the game, which has been pure hell the first 4 games.
  15. Today is a new day, hopefully the players are looser than we are... Maybe Uecker will have the final say when all is said and done?
  16. I don't believe him. He is trying to throw off Counsell. This is a cat and mouse game now. Neither manager revealing who their starter is going to be either, when we all know damn well they know.
  17. Thought this was humorous. How Cubs fans view the Brewers: (please excuse the f-bombs, but they play an important part of the narrative here)
  18. THIS. Why on earth anyone involved in any sport wouldn't go for the jugular in game 3 is completely and totally beyond me. Was he trying to be cute, have it work out, so the media could praise him and he could get some more fun screen time. It's just a gross look, and frustrates me to no end. Does Weeks have any input at all? If he was on board with the line-up changes in game 3 and 4, what does that tell you about his management skills? Or does he just nod his head and be a good little yes man? I think we can win Saturday, I'm not going to fall into the cesspool of negativity and hate that a lot of us are, but I am not confident, and pretty much expect to lose. If Murphy does not go back to the game 1 and 2 lineup, then he has no business calling the shots. It's time to put the experiments on hold and do what got us the win in the first two games. End of story.
  19. Shota vs all hands on deck except for Freddy I'd imagine...
