  1. Name his price? Sounds great, but highly inaccurate.
  2. Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die This movie started out great! I couldn't wait to see how it ended! Loved the message it was sending (especially as a retired high school teacher) Then, all of a sudden, about 2/3 of the way through, it became nonsense, garbage, and I totally lost interest. I had high hopes for this one after reading reviews, only to be majorly disappointed in the end.
  3. Would depend on a lot of factors, but once Yelich is gone (huge sigh of relief) Contreras could always be our normally scheduled DH, provided he was still hitting. I'm not saying we should or should not extend him, I'm just saying that we wouldn't always have to rely on him being our catcher, at some point, they all decline physically and defensively. The guy has earned an extension, but I don't see us doing that, it doesn't fit our typical MO. Oh hell, I guess I am taking a side after all. I don't think it would be a good idea to extend him unless he really does take a team discount, and I think we all know how that will play out.
  4. What's the over/under on him hitting the IL by May 1st?
  5. This is how I would guess things starting out, although if they start with a 6 man, I'd bump Henderson into the 6 spot. I am really REALLY hoping Woody avoids the injury bug, but I'm not 100% sold that is going to happen, so it is pretty nice having that deep of a rotation. I admit, I have no faith in Carlos Rodriguez, I was kind of hoping that another team would have interest, and he would have been part of a trade package this off season. Have they officially said that Hall is going to be a bullpen guy?
  6. Is Adams even still playing 3B? I've seen his name thrown around a few times with mentions of playing 3B, is that still a thing?
  7. He'll hit AAA for certain, I'd even say by midseason...
  8. The media, putting out misleading stories? SHOCKING!
  9. Twins signed LHP Andrew Chafin to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. It’s qualifies as a surprise that Chafin was forced to settle for a non-roster invite with the rebuilding Twins given his extensive experience as a high-leverage option at the highest level. The 35-year-old southpaw compiled a strong 2.41 ERA — 3.44 xERA — 1.43 WHIP and 36/19 K/BB ratio across 33 2/3 innings over 42 appearances between the Nationals and Angels last year. He’ll compete for a spot in Minnesota’s season-opening bullpen and offers some appeal for contenders in a couple months as a trade deadline target.
  10. It sure looks like our off season additions/trades/etc are over for now! Bring on 2026!
  11. Meh. Well, that's that I guess. Hopefully he's just a placeholder until Wilken gets called up at some point...
  12. You truly think we would trade that much for Buxton with his injury history (he isn't getting any younger either) and the $15 million + he is owed over the next 3 seasons? That's too much to give up and add that to the cash he will still be owed, I think this prediction is pretty much null and void right out of the gate.
  13. That line-up would warrant a road trip to Nashville to catch a series!
  14. Ok, who saw this coming? Always some surprises...
  15. I wasn't suggesting they were going to give up on him, or that they should. I simply do not think it is a good decision to keep him and Hamilton in the lineup at the same time. I'm all for giving Joey another shot to redeem himself. I'm not all for any lineup that includes both he and Hamilton.
  16. You can't count a thumbs down from Ghostdrew. That is his schtick. Rarely posts words, just shows up to hand out the negative thumb awards.
  17. I have to think he had NO other offers if he is willing to play for the Rockies... Pitcher's nightmare in hell...
  18. DVD Purge The Day After Tomorrow - I like this one. Keeper Dazed and Confused - One of my top 3 movies of all freakin' time! I have seen this movie countless times and never get tired of it. Just an absolute classic! KEEPER Death Race - Decent flick, not that I need to see it again. Loosely based on the cult classic Death Race 2000. Goner Death Race 2 - Actually serves as the prequal to Death Race. Again, I thought it was fine, but not keeper worthy. I do not own, nor have I seen Death Race 3. Goner Death Race 2000 - Absolute classic! If you haven't seen this one, give it a go, but consider when it was made (1975) before passing judgement. Yes, special effects are lacking and it can come off as cheesy a LOT, but that is part of the charm! Keeper!! Deceived - This was ok, but just feels like it's missing something... Goner Deception - Also an ok movie which was enjoyable to watch, but I don't need it in the collection. Goner The Departed - This is a good one. Starts off a little slow, but a really good movie with a bonkers ending! Keeper
  19. Ugh. If we acquired Hamilton to be a regular which allows Ortiz to stay in the lineup at 3B, then I really don't want to see the results. This kind of makes me ill... I really hope you are wrong.
  20. Ok, let's say that what you are saying is true. We have to get power someplace. We are in desperate need for someone, who in given situations has the chance at knocking one out of the park. Our line-up is punchless today, and it was punchless last year. If we aren't going to get any power at 1B or 3B with some "dinosaur" player, where is it going to come from? Chourio has yet to show any significant consistent power,, Yelich, those days are likely behind him. Frelick? Vaughn has a shot, and did provide some clutch power last season in limited at bats. Turang? Ortiz? That leaves Contreras... Call me crazy, but we are still sitting here with a line-up without a power source. I may be old school in my line of thinking that we need at least one guy who is a threat, but once the season hits, and we are getting guys on base with no one to knock them all in, I think my reasoning will be in line with how most feel about the lack of power in this line-up.
  21. Any thoughts of Bauers playing full time at multiple positions is just going to be a let down. I'm not buying into anything regarding he can be anything more than a bench guy who every once in a while looks better than a bench guy.
  22. What makes the most sense is replacing Ortiz and his crap bat in the line-up entirely, not moving him over to a power hitting position. If Jett can handle SS right out of the gate, then we need a real 3B and his bat, not what Ortiz provides there. Yes, I know Joey plays great defense, but if he isn't going to play SS, where we can theoretically hide his crap bat, then I don't want him in the line-up. I do not believe he will find his 2024 bat, I also don't believe he will be as bad as 2025. He can't be that bad, right? RIGHT?
