  1. Guy at 3B, no outs, and they get out of it! Unbelievable!
  2. Baez is still the best tagger in the business though... :)
  3. Vest is going to need a couple of K's here... EDIT: There's one!
  4. Very true... The thought of Manny "the PUNK" Machado hitting a walk-off in the final game would suck too, but yeah, not as bad as Counsell getting the last laugh, as you mentioned.
  5. I'm fine with either the Tigers or Indains, er, Guardians winning this series, but I wouldn't want to face Skubal twice in the World Series... I hate the Red Sox, don't want to play the Yankees, so that's a toss-up for me. Plus, facing Crochett twice isn't a good thing either. Reds beating the Dodgers is probably a fairytale, but how awesome would it be for the Reds who just snuck into the playoffs, to knock out the evil empire Dodgers? Hate the Cubs with a passion, but I'm intrigued by a Brewers/Cubs series only because I'd like to be the team to take them out. However, being knocked out by Counsell and the Cubs would be an absolutely unbearable ending to this season. Yet still, I want to play them because the risk reward is worth it to me personally. The thought of their fans invading AmFam is also going to be sickening if it happens...
  6. Is this thread being used for the playoff game thread for non Brewers games? If so, maybe the title of this thread should be changed to "Wild Card Round Game In Game Thread?"
  7. Looks like it to me. What was he saying then?
  8. You find it hurtful when someone gives you the thumbs down? Interesting. I find it irritating that the guys who use it all the time don't ever comment why, but I've never cared enough what others think of my opinions to find it hurtful. Usually it's the same handful of posters that use it, then disappear.
  9. Kim a Bellinger type bat? Dude...
  10. Ok, then maybe he asks politely to be traded... Either way, I bet he'd love the chance to get out of Pittsburgh.
  11. That rotation of Skenes and Bubba Chandler will be an absolute waste if they don't do something this off season to address their crapfest of a team. Imagine being as talented as those two pitchers and being stuck in baseball hell for 6-7 more years. I don't think it would be out of line for Skenes to ask/demand to be traded given that team's past. They just never do anything to be competitive.
  12. That's a horrible argument, it could be a helluva lot better too. It could always be better than what we have now, and to just accept the fact that odds are always stacked against small market teams in MLB is shortsighted.
  13. It's the perfect year for CO-MVPs in my opinion. There is no right or wrong answer as to who should win it, so give it to both of them.
  14. True, but he could just as easily walk a batter or two instead. I don't feel he's trustworthy right now, which saddens me.
  15. Oh so hard... Think he'll ask his kids a cringe question tonight in the post game to help deflect any questions?
  16. Why can't he? The grueling part of the season is over. I see no reason why Yelich couldn't play a full series in the playoffs in LF. However, I am not on the Bauers train. He is who he is, and the week between now and the playoffs will probably turn him into the pumpkin we know he really is.
  17. Ummmm yeah, but above, that price you called a no brainer, was 18-20 million per season. That is just plain old gross. Not a chance, not even a slim chance that this is a consideration.
  18. I'm sad that it has come to this line of thinking. Not a rip on you at all, you are on to something for certain!
  19. LOL It's hard to... (I'm glad someone didn't let that press conference go out to die, that was just so ridiculous)
  20. Meh, they have two more chances to wrap up the best record in MLB. With Abbott going tomorrow, and Gasser pitching (what will he have, 4 innings max) I'm not holding my breath. Freddy will pitch a some innings on Sunday apparently? We could easily piss this away. Hopefully, they find a way to win tomorrow and put us out of our misery.
  21. Hard to stay hungry, hard to stay hungry, hard to stay hungry... His exchange with his son there was cringeworthy. Geez.
