  1. Probably back in the lead-off spot, he deserves respect.
  2. Ueck Went this afternoon and it was EXCELLENT! If anyone is on the fence about going, you will not be disappointed!
  3. Went to "Ueck" this afternoon and it was EXCELLENT! If anyone is on the fence about going, you will not be disappointed!
  4. As most here know, I post that in pure sarcasm every time someone posts how cheap he is. Thanks for keeping track of my posting habits though, much appreciated.
  5. The issue is, at least to me, that he continues to bat lead-off. I know they aren't going to stick him on the bench 4-5 games a week, but for the love of God, put him down in the order until he gets back on course.
  6. Yeah, Yelich isn't going anyplace, in any way. Murphy won't bench him, the club won't DFA him, and he either won't allow a trade or no one would want him. We are stuck with him, basically ruining our line-up, for the next 2.5 seasons. All we can do is hope and pray that he can add something, anything offensively in that time. It's kind of gross.
  7. and how much did that cost us in salary?
  8. 100% agreed. I've been saying this for a couple of years now. He doesn't do enough Brewers games to even be knowledgeable about the team, and all the little things that a regular announcer knows. He's a fill in, a guy that shows up every once in a while, but no longer feels like the Brewer announcer. Just a guy. I don't like the fact that we don't have the same 2 guys consistently, it's just whoever they can throw together on a given night.
  9. I hope this happens, but so far, that has not been the case. Even with Frelick out, Lara has not had a chance to claim anything. Maybe you mean next year?
  10. The Handmaid's Tale Wife and I just finished it. What a show, but not completely satisfied with the ending. I think it is supposed to be that way though, and the more I have thought about it, I'm ok with it. This is definitely a show that ends every episode with you wanting more, to see more, to see what happens, etc... Once you get past the first few episodes (which can be pretty brutal and disturbing, especially for women) it turns into a roller coaster of emotions that really never lets up until it ends. I'd give it a 9.5/10, so well worth the watch!
  11. His defense would cause the daily IGT threads to EXPLODE!
  12. ...and he belongs in the daily starting line-up.
  13. lol He's just a young, punk, kid. Guys like him I usually hate, but for some reason, I find him entertaining.
  14. Christian Yelich (L) DH Jackson Chourio (R) LF Brice Turang (L) 2B William Contreras (R) C Jake Bauers (L) 1B Garrett Mitchell (L) CF Luis Lara (S) RF Cooper Pratt (R) SS David Hamilton (L) 3B
  15. Because Hamilton is now a Murphy guy. He messes with the line-up because he can, like I've said countless times. There doesn't have to be a reason, in fact, there rarely is. He does it because he can. It is asinine to mess with Ortiz and Pratt while it was working, just asinine!
  16. I was just going to post something similar. Just noticed his stats the past week, and I'm sure the SD fans are wondering why we let this guy go for nothing. :)
  17. Giants signed INF Eddys Leonard to a minor league contract. Leonard heads out west after slashing .287/.371/.502 with 12 homers and eight steals in 288 plate appearances for Triple-A Nashville in Milwaukee’s system earlier this season. The 25-year-old infielder has yet to reach the majors despite being a noteworthy prospect for the Dodgers and Tigers within the last half-decade. He could get a look with the Giants following their impending fire sale at the upcoming trade deadline. - George Bissell I still don't fully understand why we just outright cut him...
  18. I said this in another thread, but it seems like a decent topic for discussion. Since we have too many cooks for the kitchen now that Lockridge will be returning shortly, what does this mean for Lara's playing time? At some point, Frelick will be back as well, and I don't see him being sent down to AAA, probably a short rehab, maybe? In all seriousness, we might as well send Lara back down to Nashville. Lockridge being back is probably going to cut Lara's playing time down even more. There is no sense in having Lara on the roster if he gets 2-3 starts a week, and gets pinch hit for in the later innings in the games he does start. I was really hoping he'd get regular playing time from the get-go, but that isn't how Murphy does things.
