  1. It is really going to hurt me if we end up trading any of Wilken, Adams, and Burke. I realize we just can't have them all, and things will sort out, but I really like all 3, and there just isn't room. Did I see someplace that Adams could transition to an OF spot, or am I just making that up?
  2. I think we are late to that party. I wonder if we made any attempt previously? I think your offer would get politely turned down. 10/15/20/22/23 and we might have a shot! So 5/90 assuming he likes it here, and the direction we are headed. Who really knows, he might be looking at something bigger than that to consider. I also think that maybe, as an organization, we think we have his position covered in our next big wave of prospects, so the Brewers might be ok to let him walk, or trade him in his last contracted season.
  3. Sure... Are you questioning whether or not I thought it was a good idea to get pitching delth in the off-season? Of course it was, we ALWAYS need pitching depth, and it appears that even our immense depth is taking a hit with these latest developments.
  4. Take Gasser (just looks bad), Henderson (injury), and Priester (injury) out of our depth chart to start the season, and suddenly all that depth doesn't look as good as it did pre-spring training. *yikes* Sure hope Woody is ready...
  5. The Bride Not sure why this is getting such negative press to be honest. I really enjoyed it. Not my favorite movie or anything like that, but I thought it was interesting, strange, and different. Jessie Buckley was crazy good in this one! Not sure they could have cast that role any better! Definitely worth seeing imo.
  6. I think it may have been a mistake not signing a proven vet innings eater to start the season. I think we could have had Quintana, and although he isn't a savior, I'd feel better with him early in the season at least. We just have soooooo many question marks with that rotation. Guys with promise, yes, but I don't think it's a very good idea to have 3 spots in the rotation resigned to guys who just aren't proven yet. Hell, even Miz isn't exactly proven. If he falters early on, then what. Next guy up I suppose. If Woodruff and Priester don't show up, we are in some kind of trouble imo. It's exciting, yet also a bit scary...
  7. Shut him down. He's too important to our season... Send him back to training camp where we can get a proper diagnosis and keep an eye on what we are dealing with.
  8. I think this board sometimes gets caught up in players and their long gone prospect status. Bohm is just a guy now. Didn't meet prospect expectations, and isn't going to. If he was next to free, sure, give him a shot, but that isn't the case, time to turn the page.
  9. Geez. Well, the odds of getting everyone through spring training healthy are probably pretty low. Hopefully they don't start dropping like flies now that the seal is broken.
  10. Definitely not the news we want to hear, and exactly the reason why having a lot of starting pitching depth is important...
  11. I think Harrison is going to be in the rotation, whether it's 5 or 6 guys, he's going to be in the top 5 imo.
  12. This is what you wrote: "something based on Jones for 1 of Henderson/Harrison/Sproat/Patrick could work." To me, that looks like you are proposing one of those players mentioned straight up for Jones. If that isn't what you meant, sorry for the confusion, but still, I wouldn't give up any of those players if Jones is the center piece of a deal from the Yankees.
  13. I would veto everyone of those trades. I wouldn't trade any one of the guys you mentioned for Jones straight up, no way in hell.
  14. Seen action is a a lot different than being able to play those positions at the major league level. At this point, it is LF, 1B or bust. Not a chance in hell we see Black play 3B, 2B, CF or RF for the Brewers. That ship has sailed and sank, sunk, or whatever...
  15. Impossible to know what number to get though...
  16. Woodruff is ONE guy, we need a lot more than a healthy Woody to go toe to toe with that rotation I'm afraid...
  17. At this point, any quality innings we get from Woodruff will be a luxury. I think we need to be prepared for the good chance we don't see Woodruff as our ace, a guy who eats innings and puts up the number we were once used to. Counting on him to be our playoff savior is probably just setting us up for disappointment. Best of luck to him, and I'll be pulling for him all the way, but...
  18. I can't believe how much Tony Gwynn Jr. sounds like his Dad. I had to google Tony Sr. just to make sure I wasn't making up that he had passed away...
  19. We have blue font for that here. I saw no blue font, and think he actually meant what he typed. No sweat, if he truly thinks Ortiz will DH 120 games, then so be it. Everyone has their ideas.
  20. Well, I find it hard to believe that you could honestly think Ortiz will DH 120 games for this team in 2026. What about his 2025 season leads you to believe this is a possibility? Again, would that mean that Yelich is playing left field for 100+ games?
  21. Wait, you are predicting Joey starts at DH 120 times this season? Where is Yelich going to play those 120 games? Interesting take.
  22. McGuire? Interesting...
  23. I think you know the reason why... Freddy was gone after this season no matter what, so we got what we could for him. Durbin became somewhat of a fan favorite, and had several more years of control. It was a pretty big surprise when Durbin was traded, but everyone knew Freddy's time here was limited. Most were already prepared to see Freddy go, not so much with Durbin.
