  1. Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Dodgers have acquired Tarik Skubal from the Tigers. - Christopher Crawford 6m ago Source: Jon Heyma
  2. Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Dodgers are “making progress” on a trade for Tarik Skubal. Heyman notes that the talks are centered on Zyhir Hope and Emmet Sheehan. It’s worth noting that Hope was scratched from Saturday’s game for Double-A Tulsa, so that’s probably not coincidental. Heyman does caution that the trade isn’t done yet, but Skubal is almost assuredly going to be dealt over the weekend, and there aren’t many teams that can match what the Dodgers have in their farm system. At this point, it seems more likely than not that Skubal plays for the Dodgers in 2026. - Christopher Crawford 2m ago Source: Jon Heyman

  4. Ok, if this is true, and he is required to play, then he needs to be moved to the bottom third of the order at the very least. Having him hit 1-4 is asinine at this point. 5-6 is pretty stupid too.
  5. We are going to have to clean that up before the playoffs come around. Those wasted challenges early are really going to have an impact in playoff games...
  6. Don't worry, we ONLY have him for another 2 seasons after this one...
  7. If those two players are traded for Skubal, and just those two players, that would be pretty even with us giving #5 Adamczewski and #13 Ragsdale. I'm not comfortable with that... I'm sure there would be other players as well, but damn...
  8. Ok, ok, ok, I'll bench him on all three of my fantasy teams starting tomorrow. I should have benched him weeks ago, but this gives me a good reason. When I bench him, like all the other players I bench for poor fantasy play, they go off, so you can all thank me when it happens with Chourio tomorrow...
  9. He's one HR from tying T-Rats single season record of 22. Record is shared by Victor Roache, Clint Coulter, and Khris Davis.
  10. Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the White Sox have acquired Luis Castillo from the Mariners in a four-player trade. In exchange for Castillo, the Mariners will acquire right-handed reliever Seranthony Dominguez, outfielder Nolan Jones, and catcher/outfield prospect Boston Smith. The Mariners have long been rumored to explore trading a starting pitcher with Emerson Hancock and George Kirby’s name bandied about, but it’s Castillo who will be heading to Chicago. The right-hander is not the same hurler he was a few years ago when he was among the very best in the sport, but he’s a solid mid-rotation option for a team that has played well above expectations with an excellent chance of reaching October. - Christopher Crawford Transaction 8m ago Source: Jeff Passan
  11. False, I give you the Mighty Zeppelin, I've loved them since high school, but my top 5 are in this order: 1. Kiss 2. Judas Priest 3. Zeppelin 4, Cheap Trick 5. Queensryche (with Geoff Tate on vocals, never got into his replacement stuff)
  12. Run producer Christian Yelich batting clean-up tonight...
  13. Best band of all time, and I will die on that hill forever! No band my entire life has brought me the joy that KISS has. They are not for everyone, but they are for me!
  14. Looks like a bad beer league softball jersey to me...
  15. The CBA isn't going to do anything to limit the Dodgers hold over MLB. 60 day IL maneuvering and outrageous deferments aren't going to change. Nothing in the next CBA will be done to help the little guy, it's the MLB way.
  16. The Reds are telling teams that Hunter Greene is no longer available, reports USA Today’s Bob Nightengale. We’re inclined to believe that Nightengale has this one correct. However, MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reports that the Reds are still listening to offers and there’s a “50-50" chance that Greene is moved. It seemed a little far-fetched that the Reds were going to move on from Greene with multiple years left on his contract after reports surfaced earlier this week. Anything is possible and the emergence of Chase Burns as a certifiable front-of-the-rotation arm has probably made their decision easier. - George Bissell 40m ago Source: USA Today
  17. The Brewers are not looking to trade Gary Sánchez, according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon. The acquisition of Bo Naylor in a trade with the Guardians earlier on Saturday seemed like a potential precursor to a Sánchez trade, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Rosenthal and Sammon add that the Brewers view Naylor as another layer of protection behind starter William Contreras heading toward the postseason. - George Bissell 26m ago Source: The Athletic
