  1. Guerra spent nearly all of this season in the minors, posting a 1.89 ERA and 88/16 K/BB ratio over 66 2/3 innings at Triple-A San Antonio. He's now on the Brewers' 40-man roster. Oct 18, 2019, 12:19 PM ET
  2. If Lux is not good at SS and Hiura is not good at 2B, doesn't this cause a pretty big issue defensively? I'm not sure that is a good plan up the middle.
  3. Exactly, which is why I don't want the Rockies as a trading partner unless it involves Arenado...
  4. Not huge news, or a surprise really... I'd like to turn the page and get someone else who can do his job better. Hernan Perez has elected to become a free agent. Perez was outrighted off the Brewers' 40-man roster on Wednesday and will head to the open market rather than accepting an assignment to Triple-A San Antonio. The 28-year-old utilityman struggled to a .228/.262/.379 batting line with eight home runs and five stolen bases over 91 games with Milwaukee in 2019. Oct 16, 2019, 5:55 PM ET
  5. Cozart is hurt A LOT! I want no part of a guy who is constantly injured, even if he ends up being cheap, what good does he do when he is constantly on the DL? Pass on Cozart.
  6. I hate COL trades. The Rockie effect of that stadium are just so unpredictable once they leave. None of those guys excite me, not nearly as much as Hiura excites me. To be honest, I'd rather trade Hader for a HUGE package rather than Hiura. And not with the Rockies.
  7. That is a lot of garbage. That list PROVES the importance of a great hitting catcher in your line-up. We need to spend the $ necessary in re-signing Grandal, the hole he will create by not signing him is just so significant. Obviously I'd hate to lock up a huge 4 or 5 year deal, and hopefully the rest of the league feels the same way. I'd even be willing to go 2 years at 20 million per season, or 3 at 17-18 million per season. I just can't imagine our line-up without him. If we go with Arcia at SS, we will have an absolute black hole in out line-up 7-9. If we keep Shaw and let Moose go, and what can happen does, we are screwed 6-9. Not a winning formula. We need to keep Grandal if at all possible imo.
  8. I'm not a hockey guy, have never followed it, so how many championships did Gretzky get? Not trying to be salty, or confrontational, seriously, a guy that good should have championships, so how many did he get? (I could google it, but would rather hear from people here)
  9. Mike Trout played in the big leagues in 2011, had 123 at bats hit .220 with 5 HRs... OBP .281 SLG .390 OPS .672 OPS+ 89 A sample as small as 75 plate appearances is completely meaningless when you have years of scouting reports & elite minor league performance already established. Lux wRC+ | A+: 147 AA: 147 AAA: 188 Hiura wRC+ | A+: 156 AA: 116 AAA: 155 Trout wRC+ | A+: 117 AA: 156 AAA: 179 Gavin also has superior BB/K rates, is a better defender & younger compared to Keston. Right, I was just pointing out to the poster above my last post that Lux has indeed played in MLB, albeit a small sample size. He stated that Lux has never played in MLB, I was saying that yes, in fact he has.
  10. Lux played in the big leagues this season... 75 at bats, hit .240 with 2 HRs... OBP .305 SLG .400 OPS .705 OPS+ 85
  11. I'm hoping for a Nationals / Yankees series... Yanks haven't won since 2009, Astros just 2 years ago. This Yankees team is just fun to watch.
  12. We haven't missed Broxton, even for a second...
  13. What about Lux for Hader straight up? I'd think that LA would have to throw in a couple lower level lottery tickets, but this would intrigue me. I think we could get more though, but the thought of having Lux is exciting.
  14. I'm fine with the Yankees winning it, as long as it isn't StL. The Yankees currently have no players I dislike, in fact, they are a pretty exciting team to watch. As long as they aren't breaking any rules established by MLB, then I just can't jump on the Yankee HATE train.
  15. Thor was quite unimpressive this past season...
  16. Sadly, I agree, however, I think there is a chance the Astros keep him. Please, please, don't let him go to the Cubs or Cardinals.
  17. Wow, I'd like to see an explanation for this move.
  18. I'd make that trade right freaking now!
  19. My fear is that we let Moose walk, rolling the dice on Shaw, and that he is 2019 Travis Shaw. I'm not sure I can watch another season of that version...
  20. Suter locked into the rotation? I question that statement. I don't think he is going to have the same success we saw in 2019 as a starter. He seems like the kid of guy that would flourish in that 2 - 3 inning relief role, where no one sees him for a second or 3rd time through the order. I'd leave him right where he finished the season rather than looking to add him to the rotation
  21. Tiffany's "Could've Been" would probably be on the playlist of every Pirates fan at the start of game time... Half of bfnet's population are googling Tiffany and that song now to find out what the heck you are talking about...lol
  22. Are you qualified to give me that advice? I was not aware that you were keeping track, but thanks for the attention.
  23. Oh man, that line-up is horrendous... What if 2020 Travis Shaw is 2019 Travis Shaw? Castro? UGH!
