  1. Not going to happen this year. With the logo change and rebranding of the unis, etc. no way he blows this up. That would be a marketing disaster.
  2. Every time I see MadBum come up I have to wonder if the people bringing him up for such ridiculous salaries are still thinking he is prime MadBum? The guy isn't that special anymore...
  3. Stearns hasn't gauged the market. This was not the year to sit and wait for catching and my gut tells me waiting for the Moustakas market to come to him is a mistake too. 100% agree, my gut tells me the same exact thing. Moose will be playing for another team this year, then what? We roll with Travis Shaw at 3B, knowing full well that he could easily be 2019 Travis Shaw, not 2017-1018 Travis Shaw. That is frightening.
  4. and for the 2nd straight year of a winning window, we did not go after a top starting pitcher. we made the playoffs both years, I can only imagine what could have happened had we addressed that glaring need one or both years...
  5. I'm on board for the Strasburg train! It's time to sink some cash into a legit TOR starter.
  6. To be honest, the thought of that rubber arm just about makes me sick. It may be true that teams don't run like they used to, but if they want to, against a lame arm like his, they can, and will...
  7. Pina and another will no way, 100% for sure, NOT replace Grandals production. Unless that "another" is a bonafied hitting catcher, which there ae none available.
  8. I think most of us would have wanted Yas back but not at the price. I'd have wanted him back AT THAT price...
  9. Segura was really good in Milwaukee his first year. Arcia has never been good. but 2017 gave us a taste of what we thought was coming in Arcia, sadly, he has regressed in almost everything since. There was a lot of reason to think the best was yet to come after 2017.
  10. Still looking... I'm starting to wonder if it truly even exists.
  11. I've been driving for 38 years, and have never owned a foreign car of any kind. I always took pride in the fact I was supporting the good old USA in my car purchases. In August, we purchased a Subaru Crosstrek for my wife. (The Crosstreks are built in Japan) So far, the car has been excellent. What bugs me is that I can no longer say I have never owned a foreign car.
  12. I sincerely hope that Bonds never gets in, but I know it will happen at some point. For me, that will be a sad, sad day in baseball.
  13. Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports that the Phillies are pursuing Didi Gregorius. The Phillies already have Jean Segura, but if they added Gregorius the idea would be to move Segura to a different position or trade him. It's debatable whether Gregorius would be an upgrade at shortstop, but he no doubt has the endorsement of new Phils skipper Joe Girardi, who managed him in New York. The Reds have also been connected to Gregorius. Source: Jon Morosi on Twitter Nov 22, 2019, 3:13 PM ET
  14. Vogt lacks so much behind the plate. They have to have a better upgrade than Vogt. But Vogt is an ex-Brewer, so that means we have to consider him, we just have to...
  15. Cain? Assuming he is 2018 Cain?
  16. Claudio having to pitch to 3 guys, no matter what scares me.
  17. I'd be pretty happy if that happens!
  18. Really? You don't say...
  19. I believe that he is too big of a risk to go into the season with any expectations of seeing 2017-18 Travis Shaw. So I guess the answer to your question is yes, I think he is done.
  20. I'm only watching the last season without Spacey to wrap it up. I just need to know how it ends after investing so much time to that point...
  21. Totally agree. I literally laugh out loud in every episode. Red and Fez are the 2 guys that make the show in my opinion, however, every character has a huge role in the humor.
  22. If we get to February and are still looking at a bottom of the order of Shaw, Pina, Arcia, P, I’ll agree with you. There’s been like 2 big name guys that have signed contracts. Heck, tomorrow we could sign Donaldson and the “entire offseason” looks different. There will be key guys brought in over the next few months. I'd rather shoot for the stars and sign Rendon if we are out on Moose... I do NOT, under any circumstance, want Shaw as a starting infielder on opening day.
  23. It's November 21st. Right, which is why I said "as of now."
