  1. I also think that someone is going to swoop in and offer Grandal an offer he can't refuse as well... Sucks. Marly Rivera of ESPN reports that the Blue Jays have met with free agent catcher Yasmani Grandal. The Reds are expected to make a "serious run" at the hard-hitting backstop, but Grandal should be a very popular commodity on the free agent market. He should be in line for a lucrative multi-year deal after batting .246/.380/.468 with 28 homers for the Brewers in 2019. Source: Marly Rivera on Twitter Nov 13, 2019, 7:47 pm
  2. With the rumors I've seen so far connected to Moose, if we don't act soon, he is gone... I think a lot of people saw him back in Milwaukee as a foredrawn conclusion, and that this off season would be like last, but he is getting lots of interest. I think we have seen the last of the mooooooose in a Brewers uniform. Jim Salisbury of NBC Philadelphia reports that the Phillies have touched base with Scott Boras regarding third baseman Mike Moustakas. They've also checked in on several of the starting pitchers that Boras represents, so they may have just been doing their due dilgence on Moustakas. It would seemingly make a lot of sense on the Phillies' side though, giving top prospect Alec Bohm more time to develop. Moustakas provided plenty of thump in the middle of the Brewers' lineup in 2019, slashing .254/.329/.516 with 35 homers and 87 RBI in 143 games. Source: Jim Salisbury on Twitter Nov 13, 2019, 8:22 PM ET -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports that the Blue Jays have "at minimum, discussed Mike Moustakas internally." Toronto already has Vladimir Guerrero Jr. at third base, but Moustakas showed this past season that he can play a competent second base and he has been used a little at first base, as well. The 31-year-old batted .254/.329/.516 with 35 home runs and 87 RBI for the Brewers in 2019. Source: Sportsnet Nov 13, 2019, 11:32 AM ET

  4. Yeah, seemed fine to me. No arguing, no name calling... Would be nice if a thread gets locked, there would be an explanation by the mod who locked it, as the last post in the thread.
  5. Miller was still a company when people were originally up in arms, so there is that.
  6. So let Pomeranz walk for 1 million? If 3 at 24 million won't get it done, but 3 at 25 million will, it would be asinine to not give him the extra million.
  7. I don't understand why it bothers you? Were those your "go to" seats? If it helps the team generate more revenue by bringing more people through the gates, I'm all for it. Bothers me? Nope More curious than anything. Seems like a silly concept to me. I'm weird like that though. I pay money for a ticket to a baseball game, and I want to watch that baseball game. I know, strange, right?
  8. Without better starting pitching, I predict we have zero shot at the World Series. We just HAVE to have better starting pitching, that occasionally at least, can take us through the 7th inning of a ballgame.
  9. I don't understand why people want to pay the price for a ticket and parking, just to drink outrageously priced beer, and talk to other drunks. Can't that happen at a bar just as easily, and for way cheaper? Is it that cool to go to a Brewers game just to say you were there or something? Damn Millennials.
  10. My problem with Cain is not that he had a rough year offensively, but that this could be the beginning of a slide that will last us 3 more seasons. We still have the guy for 3 more years, that could be a major issue. What if last season was the beginning of the end, and we have to endure this until his contract is up? If that is the case, I want no part of that crap show. If we could get a decent offer for him now, I'd take it if it made sense for us, not just to dump him. I don't know, I feel he is a pretty big 45 million dollar risk going forward. If he bounces back this year, I would 100% be looking to unload him for the 2021 season. If he continues to slide, we are stuck with him.
  11. Brewers signed 1B Luis Castro to a minor league contract. The 24-year-old spent the first seven seasons of his minor league career in the Rockies' organization. He enjoyed a breakout season offensively in 2019, slashing .304/.419/.552 with 27 homers and 105 RBI in 126 games between Double-A Hartford and Triple-A Lancaster. Given the Brewers' current depth chart at the position, there's a decent chance that Castro makes his big league debut with the Brewers during the upcoming season. Nov 8, 2019, 7:03 PM ET
  12. Man, it would suck if Grandal goes to anyone in the Central... Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer writes that "all signs point" toward the Reds making a "serious run" at Yasmani Grandal this offseason. The Reds haven't signed a major league free agent to a deal worth more than $3 million since 2013 (although, they did trade for Sonny Gray last winter and immediately signed him to a $38 million extension), but it sounds like they're ready to do some spending this offseason. Grandal wound up settling for a one-year contract last winter but should land a multi-year deal this offseason. Playing in Great American Ball Park would obviously be good news for his fantasy value. Nightengale also lists Nicholas Castellanos and Marcell Ozuna as potential targets for the Reds. Source: Cincinnati Enquirer Nov 8, 2019, 9:14 AM ET
  13. Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that Drew Pomeranz is a "hot name in the relief market." Passan expects Pomeranz to land "a multiyear deal at a strong AAV." Pomeranz's move to the bullpen looks like it could be a career-changer, as he posted a dominant 2.39 ERA with 45 strikeouts over 26 1/3 innings in relief. 14. Especially considering we would be unable to resign him after those 2 years.
  15. What about Wheeler's numbers makes so many on here want him? Seriously?
  16. That's funny, out of all the fast food burger joints in Appleton, Burger King is always the least busy. I've been there before over the lunch hour and it is like a ghost town. ll the locations, not just the one near my house. I'm a Burger King fan, but it shocks me that there is a craze when the open new stores.
  17. Ain't that the truth...
  18. LIKE (made it by a year)
  19. It would be a kick in the nuts if he goes to the Reds. Damn.
  20. Race has nothing to do with my comment whatsoever. Playing that card is asinine.
  21. Give me a break. You based this on what? Over-react much? I asked a simple question. What will Arcia's attitude be if he is demoted to a late inning replacement? I'm not basing it on anything, I am stating what could happen, and it wouldn't surprise me if the situation happened, that he would be extremly unhappy, which could cause issues in the clubhouse.
  22. I don't know a better way to put this other than to simply say that you're wrong.
  23. I keep seeing that there are tons of options at 1B, internally and externally. We haven't had a real 1B since Fielder, it has been an issue since he left. Who are the options internally that everyone is so sure of? Braun, is that even an option? Then who? Encarnacion?
  24. NO thank you.
