  1. "that injury history" is why we have a chance to get him a little cheaper than if "that injury history" wasn't a concern...
  2. I will believe the lower prices when I physically see them. Merchandise at stadiums is such a racket, and it always shocks me to see so many people paying those prices. It's ridiculous.
  3. Is this a good thing?
  4. I would not trade any of these 4 for a one year rental who looks to be trending down. Burnes Woodruff Peralta Brown We have been wanting to develop our own pitching for decades, and now that it looks like we may have done so, I'd hold on to all 4 of them...
  5. I know. I get Baumgartner only has one year left but it is a really reasonable price and his down numbers are still pretty averaged 19 starts and an era of 3.3 while averaging over 6 innings per start. At his contract and with what he has done in the past he is going fetch at least a Woodward type player. Who is this Woodward you speak of?
  6. Jon Paul Morosi of MLB.com reports that the Giants are willing to engage in trade talks with teams regarding Madison Bumgarner. So far, the Phillies and Brewers have reportedly had at least preliminary talks. Dealing Bumgarner would be a bold move for new Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi, but perhaps a necessary one. Their farm system could need a boost and Bumgarner is only under contract for one more season at $12 million. According to Morosi, the Giants would want at least one top pitching prospect as part of a potential package. The trade market isn't lacking for high-end starting pitching right now, as the Indians are reportedly willing to discuss Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco and the Mets are said to be shopping Noah Syndergaard. The Giants could always wait until the trade deadline if offers aren't to their liking this offseason. Source: MLB.comNov 27 - 8:39 AM
  7. Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports reports that the Cardinals have Mike Moustakas "on (their) radar." Heyman adds that the Brewers have interest in bringing Moustakas back, although that might only be the case if they decide to non-tender Jonathan Schoop. Moustakas finished with a .251/.315/.459 batting line with 28 home runs and 95 RBI last season for the Royals and Brewers, although he hit just .234/.306/.423 from May 1 on. Still, the 30-year-old should be able to net a multi-year contract this offseason after having to settle for a one-year deal last winter. Source: Jon Heyman on TwitterNov 26 - 9:32 PM
  8. Crazy, just craziness... Trading away one of our blue chip pitchers which will possibly be in our rotation for the next 6 years, for one year? No way do I entertain this idea. To be honest, I'd hesitate to give up Brown for him. Brown seems like this year's Burnes imo. We finally have a lot of pitching in the pipeline, and ready to matter and people want to trade them off for a one year player we would have 0% chance of resigning? Craziness.
  9. My heads hurts. UGH.
  10. Loved Eastwood's "Old Man and a Gun." Also REALLY loved "A Star Is Born." Another one I didn't expect to like, but it was great. Bohemian Rhapsody was good, would liked to have seen more on the making of their early albums, etc., but it was entertaining.
  11. If you want to be entertained for a couple hours, Instant Family was pretty good. My wife drug me to it, and I expected nothing, but was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it.
  12. That is on my list...The first Creed was good, not great, just good. Something about watching guys take that many major blows to the head (like the old Rocky movies) was a bit much, given what we know today. Still have to see II though.
  13. He might be productive in 2019, but how long after? Do we want to be on the hook for anything for his 38, 39, 40, and 41 seasons? Pass for me.
  14. Thanks, I knew there was a change there somehow...
  15. I think the majority of this board didn't think we needed OF help last off-season (myself included) but I can say with 100% certainty, we would not have been in the playoffs without Yelich and Cain. No way, no how.
  16. Man, this team is a joy to watch!
  17. I have never understood the Dubon love on these pages. People continue to act like this guy is ready to contribute on the big team.
  18. Are we no longer going to be affiliated with Helena?
  19. What is the draw to this guy. All I see is average at best.
  20. Still looking for a pint glass and/or shot glass if anyone has stumbled across them anyplace. Frustrating, I find it hard to believe they weren't produced...
  21. If chosen from another team, that player has to go on the 25 man roster, correct?
  22. I'm still a little upset we got rid of Kodi...
  23. I'm a teacher in WI, don't get me started on unions, or the lack of unions. I typically paint myself as a conservative, but I was not, nor will I ever be, on board with getting rid of the unions. That was the day that our lives in the education field changed, and the teacher shortage began. It will be felt in the near future, and already is in some districts.
  24. If he is traded to the Cards, he will have a career year, more than likely, an MVP season...
