Man, I sure hope that Corey Hart is not in our plans for next season... Time to cut the ties and move on.
  2. TURBO
What is going on with Coulter specifically? Demoted yet again? Is he just struggling that badly trying to return from his injury?
  3. TURBO
A "tad" too late Ron... Ax didn't have it tonight, and RRR is the only man in the ball park who didn't see it early on. Amazing. Perfect timing Ax, I suppose this is the time he will lose it, getting near the trade deadline. Perfect, just perfect.

RRR is a lameduck manager, every night he proves it. Cut the clown loose, and try something new next year. At this point, I don't care who they hire, as long as it isn't him. He has sucked out every ounce of enthusiasm I have remaining for this team.

assuming of course that we get a player that will help us down the road for gorziiiiii.

But that's just it. If he's only set to make 2.95mil next season and can give Milw, spot starts like he did today and has in every one of them. Don't you prefer to have that next season as insurance with the likes of Peralta,Thornburg/Hellweg,Jungmann, and at some point Nelson on the mound? Barring some kind of return on a deal that nets Milw, a true SP ready immediately, I think Gorzo is better kept on the team. If that trade happens where a SP comes in a deal, then I'd fully make Gorzo available afterwards. I wouldn't even consider him for spot starts at this point, I'd pencil him into our rotation next year and call it a day. If we lose one of Gallardo or Lohse, there is nothing to lose in having Gorziiiiiiii at that price to start the year in the rotation. What would our rotation then look like? 1. Gallardo/Lohse 2. Peralta 3. Estrada ???? 4. Gorziiiiiii 5. one of Thornburg/Hellweg/Jungmann/Nelson and I'll throw in Narveson before someone else does, even though I hope he is never an option for our starting rotation again. That looks pretty ugly. I'm starting to think that unless we get a ridiculous offer, I want to hang onto Axford. Of course price plays into this, but the dude looks like he has figured some things out. Just don't want to move him for garbage.

Yup, it completely taints my views on him, and my guess is, he won't be held in such high regards with the all time Brewer greats because of it. If he is suspended, found guilty, whatever, can you really envision a statue at Miller Park to go along with hank, Robin and Uecker? Had this stuff never happened, I almost think the statue was 100% going to be in future plans had his career played out like we think, and he remained a Brewer for all or at least the majority of his career. The entire situation is just one big black mark on Ryan Braun, guilty or not, and it bums me out. Favre was a God in Wisconsin, now it seems most dismiss him. I think this could set Braun down the same path. Not the same situation as Favre, but the stain on his reputation might not be something a lot of people are going to forget.

I saw RUSH at Summerfest on July 4th. What a quality act! Since I had never seen them in person before, I was a bit starstruck! What a great show!!! Next up, ROCK USA with some of my favorite 80's Metal bands...

Seeing people plugged into their hand held devices at ball games. Today it was rampant. I would expect to see girls/women doing this based on the possibility that they aren't big Brewers fans and were probably drug there by their boyfriends/husbands, but to see grown men at a ballgame with virtually no interest in the game is maddening. Yes I realize there are a lot of women out there who are just as big of fans as men, not trying to offend anyone. I know I am in the minority, I get that, but I am not tied to my phone in any way, nor do I even carry it half the time. I find it a nuisance more than anything else, so me complaining about this will fall on deaf ears from the younger crowd, but seriously, do people have to be 100% tuned into these stupid things at all times? No wonder people can't focus on one thing anymore, they just can't sit back, relax and enjoy a ballgame. Just another sign of the times that I don't like. Ok, "mid 40's guy" rant over...

Hank bobble is nice, just glad there is only one, no alternate, retro, away uniform, etc... Only complaint is that the pose is the same as Hart...
  16. TURBO
What a blah game to see in person. I am starting to dislike Francisco immensely. A complete hack in the field, and no hustle, ever. If we didn't have the emergence of Segura and Gomez, this would be a lost season.
  17. TURBO
If I were to pick a single jersey to own, that would be it! Whatever you want to buy, and sell this to fund it must be something VERY cool.

That all sounds great, a lot different than what I had heard... I'm glad he is a good guy, makes it easy to root for guys like that!

And now we are back to the overall lack of discipline on this team. If they are ignoring the third base coach and the manager can't stop it then it is time for a new manager. We are LONG past the time for a new manager... I just hope we severely clean house on this coaching staff this off-season. A change is needed, badly!
  21. TURBO
This is like watching a little league team at times... Was Aoki sent there, or did he go on his own? The complete lack of discipline on this team falls on RRR's shoulders. It just keeps happening play after play, game after game. It's embarrassing.
  22. TURBO
I'll be interested to hear how he is in person. I have heard from a couple people he isn't the nicest dude at signings. Looking forward to hearing from board members who go...
  23. TURBO
If Gomez isn't hurt, that was another RRR blunder.
  24. TURBO
I called it! YUNI BOMB! Yuni will save the day!
  25. TURBO
Yuni will save the day! RRR probably feels he needs to get Yuni some at bats to keep him fresh.
