  1. 0.50 ERA, 0.389 OPS as a reliever in 18 innings.
  2. Take away the two fumbles deep in their own territory and it's 28-10. On two plays they got receivers open deep behind the coverage but couldn't hit them. Add in the debacle at the end of the first half (Were they playing single high coverage? With less than a minute left?) and it very easily could have been a very close game. One bright spot was the overall play of the OL. They almost always gave the QB time to throw, and most of the pressure was a result of holding the ball too long. I recall very few if any times when the QB had little time due to immediate pressure. Good run blocking considering the opponent too except for a couple of plays. Mellusi and Yacamelli combined for over 100 yards on only 19 combined carries. Should have run the ball more.
  3. Things aren't great in Madison, but they could be a helluva lot worse.
  4. OUR KICKER'S BETTER!! OUR KICKER'S BETTER!! OUR KICKER'S BETTER!!
  5. WE SCORED FIRST!! WE SCORED FIRST!! WE SCORED FIRST!!
  6. Georgia CB Daniel Harris was arrested for driving 106mph in wet conditions yesterday around 8pm. That was 41 mph over the speed limit. Since the January 2023 incident that killed Devin Willock - in a vehicle that was going at least 104mph driven by a UGA staffer and that Jalen Carter was allegedly drag-racing - in the last 20 months this marks the 20th UGA football player who was arrested or cited for driving-related violations including DUI, speeding and reckless driving. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/41248347/georgia-cb-daniel-harris-arrested-charged-driving-106-mph
  7. Can UW pull off the mother of all upsets at home? Or will it be Miami 1989? I think back to 1992. Coming off of a 5-6 season but only 2-6 in the Big Ten and in their 2nd year with a highly-touted new coach, UW faced #2 Washington on the road in the opener. Lost, but it was a respectfully close 27-10 considering the other UW was #2 and it was on the road. Then, three weeks later, they knock off #12 Ohio State at home in the Big Ten opener. UW went on to finish 5-6 again, but three of their conference losses were by 2 points or less and a 4th by 7 points, which gave them the confidence to propel them to the magical 1993 season. I think it's somewhere between that Washington and Ohio State game. They lose, but closer than most people think.
  8. 98 sinker low and away followed by an 85 slider on the same tunnel. Filthy.
  9. The Dodgers gave up 24 runs to the Cubs in the last three games. The Dodgers are not invincible.
  10. What could have been had he been able to stay healthy...
  11. Leonhard ran a lot of 2-4-5 as well, especially against 1-1 personnel. Did well against the (literally) smaller schools, but got ran over against Ohio State. I still think the only way to defend 1-1 personnel is a 4-2-5 with the DEs playing 7-tech or even 9-tech to contain the edge. Witt is big enough to be an OLB in a 2-4-5, but he's about it. And I think he even lost some weight going into this season. (He did - was 258 last year and 247 this year.) If the other team has a TE on the field, have to have 3 DL even if the TE is spread out (because they will motion him back into the line if the defense has 2 DL).
  12. He was one of the worst coaches in Packers history. And he died in 2002.
  13. Not just Alabama, but Penn State and Oregon also didn't look all that great during their games either. I'm sure their fan message boards are freaking out, too.
  14. Alabama didn't look a whole lot better, for the first three quarters at least. South Florida rushed for over 200 yards against them, primarily from the QB.
  15. A friend of mine used to live near 56th & Greenfield and we'd walk from his house through the VA Hospital grounds. Took about 20 minutes. Don't know if it's still free parking in that neighborhood.
  16. Turang at 3rd, all you need to do is put the ball in play on the ground or a fly ball to the OF.
  17. Who I'll probably regret leaving out... Kamal Hadden, CB, Tennessee Yep...
  18. They also brought out all of the flags of the schools in the new B1G but got the wrong flag for USC.
  19. WMU has a couple of really good interior OL and a really good RB, and when a team has both of those you cannot run a 2-4-5 defense, particularly when your top DL is out for the year.
  20. It certainly isn't a good look when a guy who was one of the top graded players at his position the prior year barely sees the field and doesn't even play a couple of games then makes the 53 of a NFL team
  21. Yep, and in the playoffs they don't need him to go 6.
  22. Who was that dude who was complaining because they only signed him for two years instead of five (amongst every other off-season move they made)?
