First, check around to see if there are any butcher shops in your area. Not a grocery store, but an independent, local butcher shop. If so, go there. You'll always get better meat quality than anything online. Example - Ken's Meats & Deli in Monona, Jacob's Meat Market in Appleton (which also has a fantastic craft beer selection). -
And over the last half year the Bucks got a lot younger. At the start of last season, there were five players older than Giannis - Lopez, Middleton, Lillard, Prince, Connaughton. Now Prince is the only one.

Technically he's a redshirt junior for eligibility purposes. He redshirted in 2023 recovering from UCL surgery, so he has another year of eligibility if he wants it.

Until they run out of roster spots for healthy players who are as good or better

I could easily see the NCAA granting him a medical redshirt. NCAA is basically toothless when it comes to eligibility challenges.

Hopefully it isn't a repeat of the 2018 class. They got an early commitment from Herro and prioritized Joey Hauser over Haliburton because Haliburton and Herro played basically the same position. Then Herro decommits during his senior year, leaving no time to build a relationship with Haliburton and they get none of the three. With the transfer portal now it's a lot less risky to bring in multiple players at the same position and short another position as it is a lot easier to get players at other positions of need even if just for a year (as well as kick a player to NIL if they get too many scholarship players). -
I think the biggest risk of Spencer is that he will pull a Drew Rasmussen and if he doesn't like where he is drafted/what he is offered he'll go back to school to prove himself healthy and worthy of more $.

I'm looking at Pico Kohn, LHP, Mississippi State. MLB.com has him at #122; he's already 22, so no way is he turning down hundreds of thousands of dollars and going back to school to be drafted at 23. Good numbers in the SEC - 80 IP, 69 H, 29 BB, 114 K. Kohn's fastball operates at 91-94 mph and tops out at 95, but it plays up because hitters have trouble picking it up from his low three-quarters arm slot and flat approach angle, and he can throw it with carry up in the strike zone or locate it down at the knees. He has very good feel for a sweeping low-80s slider that he can locate on either side of the plate. He works mainly with those two pitches and occasionally mixes in a low-80s changeup with fade. Kohn looks more athletic this year, getting down the mound and repeating his delivery better, allowing him to improve his extension and pound the strike zone. There's still room to add more strength to his 6-foot-4 frame, so it's possible that his stuff could tick up further. He's not overpowering but has a high floor as a lefty starter with solid command and good mound presence.

Between his age 39 and age 40 seasons, his last two seasons in the league, he logged a combined 5 triples. For only being a Brewer for one season, he had a huge impact on the future of the organization. Part of the reason they brought him in was to mentor Gary Sheffield, and when the Brewers traded Parker it really upset Sheffield and was the tipping point of Sheffield demanding to be traded away.

The surgery is on his left shoulder and while he bats LH he throws RH, so it's not his throwing shoulder. The surgery sounds like a repair to the bolts and not repairing a tear or a reconstruction.

Yelich already is for all intents and purposes the full-time DH. He's played 72 games as DH this year and only 7 in LF with a total of 50 innings in LF (7 innings per game in LF).

Could be worse. Someone else who also posts a lot in the minor league forum, who I will allow to remain anonymous, said: I think any trade obtaining Quinn Priester where we gave up any value is a nightmare of a deal, he is just not a MLB caliber starting pitcher. 🫢

Sounds like he could be back right around when Mis will start hitting his innings limit and either get shut down or moved to the bullpen. That's not a bad deal - exit Mis from the rotation, insert Gasser.

CBS Sports has John Tonje going to the Bucks at 47. That's on the later side for Tonje, but I'd be happy with that.

I used to park around Greenfield and 53rd where a friend of mine used to live and walk through the VA grounds. It was about a 15-20 minute walk. Heard that there may be parking around Roosevelt Park and from there take the Hank Aaron State Trail to the stadium.

I'd be really surprised if the Brewers go HS middle infield given the glut of top 18-20 year old MI prospects. Further complicating things is that Cunningham will be 19 on draft day, thus the Brewers would have to protect him after four years, not five years.

Markus Howard is the all-time career scoring leader at Marquette and it isn't even close. He has 700 more points than Kam Jones and 1,000 more points than anyone who played for 3 years before freshmen were eligible. He was a 2x All-American and led the nation in scoring his final year. If anybody deserves to have his jersey/number retired, it's him.

That may very well be true. But he can give minutes, which is something that Middleton struggled to do for the last several years. What they say about the best ability.... Think about it from the other angle. What would you have needed to see someone pay MKE to take Middleton and his contract off of their hands? Middleton played 37 games this past season, 55 the year before, 33 the year before that, and got paid $31M last season and is due $33.2M next season. He might be the worst $/minute player in the NBA. I thought it was a miracle that they could get anyone to take him off of their hands AND cut $10M in salary.
