  1. The refs have interjected themselves into the game. Even Raf and Hill are saying that.
  2. What a terrible call. Trash... Panda... Grant Hill says, "I haven't seen that before..." So you didn't see it happen earlier in the game or when reviewing the Wisconsin game against Northwestern.
  3. Ok, so every 50/50 ball will result in foul on Wisconsin. Zebras making it well known already.
  4. I seem to recall his name was "Bluto" originally. I guess it is Paramount's fault. Shivvers me timbers...
  5. I'm all for this, but would a reduction of the minimum wage requirement accompany this? I truly believe that part of our problem is that people don't know how to manage their money. High schools do not teach fiscal responsibility, budgeting, etc. I know this is a fraction of the issue at hand, but I am amazed at how people will buy a house, take on a huge debt that requires them to put 80% of their monthly earnings towards the mortgage, and then have little to no furniture.
  6. I finally watched the game. It was almost the opposite of what happened earlier in the game when Buie chop blocked Wahl and Wahl fell over him. Except this time, the Northwestern player had a small hold of Wahl's jersey and Wahl's pirouette might have been a bit embellished. I don't think it was intentional at all. As the game was going on, I was following on the sports app and was seeing Buie's performance in the first half. I was having visions of Stephen Curry and Davidson vs. Wisconsin in Detroit.
  7. I haven't seen the game, yet, but.... shhhh... I won't say who suggested this, but his / her initials are @Playing Catch. 🤔 Old Time Hockey
  8. This one is funny. It is like it is breaking a fourth wall within the series without breaking the fourth wall.
  9. Let me guess -- you have seen Tom Izzo's teams before? 😁 Izzo is a guy with whom I would enjoy having dinner. I would ask about coaching philosophy, of course, but also growing up in Iron Mountain. I wonder if Izzo would have the same opinion of NIL as Nick Saban.
  10. Is this the only thing sports related that "Newsradio" 620 WTMJ covers anymore?
  11. I hope this is the case. He needs a little more seasoning with a shot of confidence and BOOM, he will be a very good one.
  12. Rodgers response would probably be something like: "If something happens to you RFK, and I become President, I will have plenty of experience on how to handle the 'Football'. Hello!" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_football
  13. I was pulling for DePaul yesterday vs. Villanova. That would have been a huge story. DePaul has only 3 wins on the year, I think and 0 in the Big East.
  14. Old time hockey, baby! 😁
  15. Sigh. I have not been to any games at the Kohl this year. I know that in the past, the band has not been as relevant as in years past. Part of this is due to a decision to use a majority of DJs and piped in music. The other part, and is probably more the case, is that the Band is under new ownership. Mike Leckrone was the main decision-maker and the University, for the most part, catered to him. Corey doesn't have that authority. I was in the band in the late 80's / early 90's. It was a different era, but I know that Mike would have made sure that there were enough people at all events. If people didn't show up, there would be an ass-chewing.
  16. Wisconsin still #9 in the pairwise. I have a feeling they will fall after the B1G tournament. They should still make it to the NCAA's, shouldn't they? Still -- Hastings has helped Bucky become relevant again.
  17. When Purdue's own Robbie Hummel says it should have been a foul, then it probably should have been a foul. When the play-by-play guy said that you can't fake blood on your face, that put it in perspective. If they didn't stop the game for Purdue when their player was down, then I would have expected them to not stop it when Chuckie was down. I think that is standard fare in the NBA -- play it out and stop it after the shot is made. Hummel was correct in one thing -- the officiating was poor. When that happens, the visiting team will most likely get the short end of the stick. That said, though, missing from the arc is one of the major reasons they lost. You cannot say the Badgers didn't leave it all on the floor. Proud of how hard they battled.
  18. IIRC, Alando Tucker's attempted mutiny helped contribute to Gard's perception years go. I do see that some things need to change, though. I know there have been some changes in the rules on the defensive end, but the Wisconsin defense is poor. Is that a coaching thing, or is it a talent thing? I'm sure it is me, but it seemed like earlier in the year, guys weren't afraid of taking open shots early in the shot clock. Even if there was somebody who was "almost" contesting, they would shoot. That freedom and confidence produced better results. Now, it seems like players are afraid to shoot. Chucky had a handful of open looks in the lane with nobody around him against Rutgers. He is not looking to score -- and he is coached to do that. The turnovers against Rutgers, even before the circus at the end of the game, were very poor and very un-Wisconsin (even un-Gard) like. Tyler Wahl is a good player and all, but it seems like he is a turnover waiting to happen. Yes, I know he averages only 1.7 TOs a game, but his bad games seem to go one-for-one with his good games. I'm not sure what to make of the team for the remainder of the year. Are the Jekyll, or are they Hyde? I think they will still make the NCAA tournament and for those of us who were fans before 1994, we will be happy with the berth.
  19. Sounds like it is still up in the air a little. https://www.brewcrewball.com/2024/2/15/24071612/bally-sports-wisconsin-will-air-eight-of-the-brewers-spring-training-games
  20. I wonder if he said the Magic Word (whatever that is/was)...
  21. Along the same lines as the Girl Scout Cookie deodorant, I saw this at our local Total Wine store this past weekend:
  22. Networksolutions offers something at a cost if you don't have a secondary hosting option. https://www.networksolutions.com/domains/website-forwarding
  23. They certainly watched the Nebraska video -- double down on Crowl. The Badgers need to get a better option when they double down. Very very physical game. I thought they could have called an offensive foul on Klesmit on the last inbound play for the Badgers.
  24. Another option might be Domain Forwarding. I don't know what host you would use for www.baseballleague.com. Hosts such as GoDaddy will allow you to do exactly what you are trying to do. It will set up a Permanent Redirect. There are some fancy <html> things you could do with <meta> tags, but I'm not sure how it would work. If you look up Domain Forwarding, you might be able to find what you are looking for. Here is a video that might help, too. Of course, I might be wayyyyy off base. 😉
