  1. Nothing like a nice 32-9 run to end the game. Losing to MSU is similar to the Brewers getting swept by the Cubs in my mind, I can't stand Izzo. As long as Marquette finishes in the top 4 in conference I'm happy, so Villanova really needs to lose another game somewhere here. I'm praying for 1 win in the next 3, and anything more would be fantastic.
  2. That sounds about right. It would be great if they could steal one at MSU but I don't really see that happening. Minnesota has been struggling so I like their chances against them better now than a week or two ago.
  3. I agree with both of those actually. I love watching Washington State, though they're not really on TV anymore since they're not that great this year. I'll be happy if Marquette finishes 2-3. I know Georgetown can't start a winning streak and are still at 5-8, but any team that can win at UConn when they're at full strength can do some damage. Although I haven't seen the last two games, it sounds like MU came out flat in the first half of both. That's fine against teams in the bottom part of the conference when you're at home, but they really can't afford to do that in any of the remaining games.
  4. Some friends and I got into a discussion a while ago similar to your story. Would you rather date someone who was a hardcore fan of your most hated team in sports, or rather they not be a sports fan at all? I'd rather have them be a hardcore Cubs fan, that way you can still talk about baseball with your girlfriend, which would be pretty awesome.
  5. He's had it for a while, but it was more definite last night, the sides must've been shorter. Also, it's nice to see Wisconsin will be on prime time Saturday night on ESPN. Another good chance to knock off a team ahead of them in the standings.
  6. I suppose the good thing is a lot of stock is put into the last 10 games, so if Wisconsin can finish strong it'll obviously help a lot. However I think that's pretty dumb considering it's a third of the season. I can see Marquette getting screwed out of a top 3 or 4 seed cause of their brutal end of the schedule where they can easily finish 4-6 or 5-5.
  7. I wouldn't say 10-8 makes them for sure in. The only team they've beaten all year that will likely make the tournament is Illinois. PSU and Michigan have outside shots as of now, and every other tournament team Wisconsin has played they've lost to. They have to win at least 2 of the 3 against MSU, OSU, and Minnesota plus play well in the Big Ten tourney if they want a good chance.
  8. I'm not sure I get this comment. Are you saying if they play like that in the tournament they'll get knocked out early, or you think they're going to shoot that pathetically from 3 and the free throw line in the same game again?
  9. Marquette down 2 to USF with 5 minutes left. I can't see the game but Dominic James is 1-9 on 3's and has 1 assist, while the team is shooting 9-20 on free throws, yikes.
  10. With struggling Georgetown coming in and then road games at DePaul and South Florida, Marquette has a legitimate shot at starting 10-0 in conference. I'm still waiting for Georgetown to turn it around so tomorrow's game kind of worries me, though MU has been playing really well obviously.
  11. What a heartbreaking team to watch Wisconsin has become. They've been in every single game, except for at Purdue, in the last two months yet find more disheartening ways to lose.
  12. http://sports.espn.go.com...;classmonth=11&rank=1 They have 3 top 100 recruits coming in and I believe another one has Marquette as a school he's considering.
  13. I've had a few classes where a kid or two will have one in class, but I don't think they ever really take notes. I couldn't care less, but why not just skip class then if you're going on the internet.
  14. I agree, the multiple texts is a big key. Ie, if you want to tell 6 people "Come over at 8:00", it saves you several phone calls. Obviously if you plan on having an actual conversation it's kind of pointless, but otherwise it can be very practical. Plus I really don't like talking on the phone unless you have to, conversations can drag on and it's easier to end a conversation via text.
  15. Does anyone think the $10 seats in row R-X in the 400 level would be sold out if I went to the Bradley Center like half hour before game time tonight? I'm assuming they wouldn't be but I was just wondering cause I don't want to go down there and then have to spend $24 instead.
  16. That doesn't even seem possible. If I win in around 3 minutes that seems really fast.
  17. I thought they could've made the Dwight/Andy feud a lot funnier, it wasn't all that great. They could've at least thrown a Cornell reference in there.
  18. Jason Chappell didn't really bring anything to the table offensively. At least Nankivil has a decent mid-range shot for a bigger guy and looks like he can shoot free throws, he just doesn't seem to having many scoring opportunities inside because he hardly plays. Bo must not trust many of his big guys, I know they're young but when JaJuan Johnson was grabbing every offense rebound on Sunday, a lot of times Krabbenhoft and Landry were the tallest players out there for Wisconsin.
  19. No kidding. The only part of the game I saw on T.V. was overtime, and their offense attempting to get a shot off was almost laughable. Leuer's shot could've been blocked by three different guys. Looking at the rest of their schedule, they should probably be able to finish 11-7 in conference, which would probably be around 4th, maybe 3rd. They're lucky they only play Michigan State and Ohio State once this year.
  20. I walked out of the UWM game to hear Wisconsin was up 10 with four minutes left, God. Gotta love the irony of Minnesota excelling at what Wisconsin can never do, come from behind down a few points with only a couple minutes left.
  21. UNC starts 0-2 in the conference. Wake Forest has a hell of a team.
  22. Before I read your second post, I was going to ask "Which half?" Purdue has done a great job of making Wisconsin look lost on offense the past couple seasons.
  23. Da'Sean Butler fouling at as early as he did was huge, especially considering he had half of WVU's points in the first half. It also helped that Ruoff didn't shoot well. Does anyone know what was up with Hayward? He seemed to only play about 20 minutes.
  24. Maybe they're not as good as some people think, but they lead the conference in scoring defense. Since I posted in 2018, Marquette won 72-67.
  25. I'm going to be going to my first Marquette game since I saw Wade beat Cincinnati to win the C-USA title six years ago. I'm excited to be able to see the Big 3 for the first time, but WVU scares me, Butler and Ruoff are great players.
