  1. How about his foul ball up into the Terrace Reserved section, who does that? I'd love to see the measurements on that one, and it was off a lefty no less.
  2. I don't see how. Before tonight McLouth's SLG was 8 points higher than Braun's, so I'm sure now Braun's is maybe just a bit higher, making it a wash. McLouth's OBP is about 70 points higher, which, to me, makes him a better player at this point than Braun. I'd personally go with a starting OF of Burrell, Ludwick and McLouth, and reserves of Dunn, Bay, and Braun.
  3. The Braves are 3-18 in 1 run games, though. Even if they were something like 7-14, which would still be bad/unlucky, they'd only be 2.5 out of first in the East. I'd think they'll be around a while longer.
  4. How the heck does Counsell hit a HR off a guy who had given up 4 in 85 innings before today, unreal.
  5. They also said he was available to pinch hit over the weekend, and on Sunday Ned said he'd likely play today. Until he plays a full game I'm not convinced he won't be out for a bit longer.
  6. You'd rather have Counsell get more at bats than Corey Hart? I'll actually be slightly surprised if the Brewers win the series.
  7. At least the Brewers miss facing Halladay. Unfortunately it's still McGowan-Marcum-Burnett. Curious how a team with a rotation featuring Doc-Burnett-Mcgowan-Marcum is under .500? They're 25th and runs and 28th in home runs, pitching isn't everthing.
  8. They go into Sudden Death, which they're doing now.
  9. Salomon Torres is a better pitcher than Mota, it doesn't work that way.
  10. I personally don't care what other people wear and don't care what people think of what I wear. With that being said, Crocs look absolutely ridiculous, male or female. That's cool if you want to wear them, I just think they're goofy. I would love to wear crocs. I would also love to wear sweat pants on the town. Lastly, I would love to never have to shave or comb my hair but as a functioning member of society one must sacrafice a little for the sake of others and I am the kind of guy that will subject oneself to make sure others don't have to put up with the stinky hobo walking the streets. I would drape myself in velvet if it were socially acceptable.
  11. He was only 2/3TO today, what a bum. He had a throw over to Prince where Prince had to stretch a bit to the side of the base, and that was the first throw he's made this year when I sort of hold my breath.
  12. Yes. There are millions of each, I'm sure some of them are nice. I've been to three Mil-Min games at Miller Park the last three years and never really had an incident that would make me think Twins fans are jerks. Obviously there are going to be some but on the whole they seem fine. Cubs fans on the other hand...
  13. Can Suppan please not get behind every hitter like usual.
  14. Our satellite just went out, boo. Yeah Dillon though.
  15. Every team in the division other than the Reds lost. I swear, it seems like these last couple weeks that every time the Cubs lose, the Brewers lose the same day.
  16. but I fear Dillon will be playing 2nd. We wouldn't want to miss out on Hall's defense there though. I never boo either, like ever, but I won't be surprised if I boo Hall sometime on this homestand. You're playing poorly, fine, then don't complain about PT and ask to get traded.
  17. Nice blatant homerism by Bill. For one he looked out, and even if he wasn't it was extremely close. Him calling it a "terrible" call makes him sound like an ass.
  18. I think the whole "Hart and Cameron are responding well to batting #1 and #6" is pretty silly at this point. Aside from the fact it's only been three games, they played in a HR friendly stadium against a pretty bad pitching staff. I heard Brain and Bill say "Cam is loving the 6th spot!", yet I didn't hear them mention that he's hit 5 of his 9 HR at Minute Maid Park, though I'll admit I didn't see all three games completely so maybe it was said.
  19. The Celtics take game 4 after they were down 18 at halftime. Now the Lakers only have to win three in a row, including two in Boston.
  20. That's a good call. If Bush gives up more than one homer he should be embarassed. Or should the Twins be embarassed if they don't hit more than one home run...? Either way I'm liking our chances, the Twins have certainly been reeling on the road the past week.
  21. I'm really hoping I'll be there for either the Saturday or Sunday game in the HR porch in left field, not sure though. I don't know anyone that likes the stadium, but I've never been there and I'm more than willing to see a MLB stadium I never have before. Plus I was 2-0 on the road last year http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  22. I personally think the stadium design is pretty stupid, but it's also pretty silly to complain when the Brewers get the same advantage with the weird set-up in left field.
  23. So has Iribarren jumped ahead of Joe D for top pinch hit options against righties? I went to baseball-reference to look at each of their splits against LHP/RHP in the minors but they don't have it, does anyone know where I could find that?
  24. They still have the best ERA in the NL, and I doubt they'll struggle to score runs without him. Heck, I'm sure they'll gain on the Cardinals with Pujols being out as he's much more valuable to the Cards than Soriano is to the Cubs. I'd be happy if the Brewers pick up 2-3 games in Soriano's absence, even with that rough schedule.
  25. If Joe Dillon is in the lineup, I don't mind him leading off. In the minors his OBP was 84 points above his average, and in his (very short) major league career it's 76 points higher. I never want to see Counsell lead off. Just because his OBP is 100 points higher than his BA doesn't make him good. In the meantime, I have no problem with Hart leading off as long as Counsell is getting some PT.
