  1. Un-freaking-believeable Kapler. I don't care if it's like 100 AB's this is crazy.
  2. He knows 7,8, and 9 as in "8th inning guy". Wow, didn't it look like Dillon was out? He's having a nice couple first innings.
  3. Can Suppan ever have a first inning where he doesn't throw a lot of pitches?
  4. That pitch didn't catch any of the plate. Brian and Bill think the plate is three inches wider on the outside corner. You can't say for sure they would've scored more if Kapler wasn't thrown out, but I would've liked the chances of it http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  5. I'm kind of liking where this at bat is going, Hall is seeing a lot of pitches.
  6. I don't mind Dillon leading off with Weeks out of the lineup. There's that veteran leadership from Kapler!
  7. Nice start, let's do something Braun and Fielder!
  8. All I know is I hope Cameron comes in for defense late if the Brewers are up by just a couple runs. What I don't get is that Yost has said Cameron is a streaky player, yet this is the third game this week he's sitting him. How is he supposed to get on a hot streak with irregular playing time?
  9. I'm really starting to doubt he'll be fired mid-season. It might've been close after the last road trip, but then they follow it up with a great homestand. If they go 1-5 or something on this road trip there will be rumblings again, but a good home stand will probably erase that. As for an actual vent, the Brewers managed just 4 hits and 2 runs in 6+ innings off Greg Reynolds. At least they didn't strike out though, damn those strike outs!
  10. I sure hope you're right. I'm guessing I'm not the only one that'd be happy with 3 of the next 4 after this crappy start.
  11. TH has it up on JSonline. 2B Craig Counsell CF Mike Cameron LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart 3B Russell Branyan SS J.J. Hardy C Jason Kendall RHP Dave Bush Weee! At least this guy walks a lot of batters, hopefully Counsell will walk like three times.
  12. Ugh, that's annoying. Does that mean Counsell is leading off?
  13. 18BB/9K's/8 HR allowed in 28 innings for this guy, if berniebrewer4life's prediction is right I'll cry.
  14. Maybe, just maybe, Yost will realize that just because Mota has pitched moderately well for the last couple months doesn't mean he's an automatic 8th inning guy.
  15. Or, and I know this would probably blow Yost's mind, you leave him in because he's pitching so well, then go to Torres in the ninth, and you still have 6 bullpen pitchers who could throw tomorrow. I know it's a pretty strange concept but I liked it better than the alternative.
  16. Oh. My. God. This quote alone should be grounds for firing Yost. From the JS online: Had the Brewers gotten Kendall home, Yost said he would have stuck with Villanueva another inning. Why? "It's not a save situation," Yost explained. Again, the formula. Villanueva would have been entrusted to protect a four-run lead but Mota got the call with a three-run margin. "I just sat there, expecting to go back out," said Villanueva. "When the inning was over, they told me to shut it down."
  17. I think it's safe to say I haven't been this pissed after a loss since last season. It's pretty unreal how many things went wrong. Brining Mota in for Villanueva is easily one of the worst moves of the year, plus not having Cameron as a defensive replacement is a complete joke. It's unreal how many times he'd make them for Braun, Hardy, Hart, but not Kapler when we have a frickin' gold glover sitting on the bench. The fact that they also didn't get another run in the 8th with Kendall at 3rd and nobody out is pathetic as well. Frick.
  18. I definitely agree that the inning likely should've been over much sooner, but from my perspective it ended disgustlingly http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif. I think it was pretty funny (annoying) when Brenly kept saying "Throw him that outside fastball and let him fly out to left field!" while Pierre was batting. Sometimes I get annoyed with Brian and Bill, but then I listen to Bob Brenly and I feel better about the Brewers announcers.
  19. Too bad Coors and Minute Maid Field aren't the best for flyball pitchers, but I'm not going to complain about two starts from Sheets. I'll say there's 16 total runs tonight.
  20. What a disgusting ninth inning last night. Kemp 2-0 count with the bases loaded down one and swings at the next pitch which is shoulder high, setting him up for the nice game ending K.
  21. Another thing that annoys me about both Brian and Bill is that they seemed to love the fact that, at least as of a couple weeks ago, Prince was near the top of the N.L. in sacrafice flies. It's obviously better than a strikeout but don't you want him to get hits in that situation?
  22. I can already see she's glaring down the pitcher, must've been high and tight. Seriously though congratulations, that's awesome.
  23. I remember after one of Sheet's starts in Colorado he mentioned he couldn't get his curve ball to break at all so he had to get guys out with his changeup. That, and the fact he'll give up a decent amount of home runs is why I don't feel good about tomorrow's game. The series in Houston might see 12 total homers again or whatever it was. Can't wait to see Hunter Pence, who is easily the most hated non-Cub for me, hit multiple weak home runs at that stadium. Edit: Apparently it's from one of his starts in 2004: "I'm a curveball-fastball pitcher and, all of a sudden, no curveball. Zero," Sheets recalled earlier this year. "I had to start throwing some changeups and getting some outs. That was as hard as I worked and as good as I pitched all year."
  24. That was a pretty big first punch thrown by Shields, it's too bad he didn't connect. That slide last night by Crisp was super cheap.
