I woke up to the radio broadcasting the news about the theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado. The only people I know who live in that area are a couple I went to college with for one year, back in the day, before I transferred to UW-Madison. I knew they lived in one of the A suburbs of Denver, but couldn't remember if it was Aurora. So I googled the wife's name, found nothing; googled the husband's name, and found out that they moved to Vermont earlier this year and are now living in a yurt, on property they purchased using funds from the sale of their Colorado home and the separation $ from the husband's recent layoff. They're going to farm the land and live as much off the grid as they can. I just finished reading the blog they are maintaining. Thus, they definitely weren't in Aurora, Colorado overnight, which is possibly a good thing for multiple reasons. Besides, I was wrong; they'd lived in Arvada.
